Dependable and smmoth
This is my 9th Revo reel. I've been using Revo reels, and very few others, for over 10 years. When I buy a new rod I automatically buy another Revo.

Just Not For Me
I'd never owned a baitcaster and now I know why. I'm sure this is a great reel but I fail to see the benefits over other types of reels. Backlash sucks and learning how to cast it without any backlash is very aggravating. This probably says more about my own inabilities than this reel. It's more about the type of reel and my own personal opinion of baitcasters. I fish because I love it and it relaxs me. I don't love backlash and constantly having to be conscious of it happening. Think I'll stick with a spinner or a closed face reel and relax.

Good reel.
The reel is great and butter smooth with no marks, dings, or scratches. It appears new, however I believe this was an open box because there were no schematic, registration card, or oil bottle as with the other one I purchased.

Must have in your arsenal
I have spooled up 17 lb fluorocarbon and it cast VERY nicely. I love Abu Garcia baitcastors, I think you buy good quality reels that will last many times on the water and while catch nice size fish.

Best new reel from Abu Garcia to date--a must have for the professional angler.
Super smooth yet ultra powerful reel. The high speed action is ideal to bring big fish in from heavy grass cover. We do a lot of river fishing and need a reel that can bring in big fish against a strong current. This reel looks great and works perfectly. Paired it with a 7 foot Ugly Stick Elite--love them as well. Spooled with 20# braid from Kastking in yellow hi-vis.

Seems like a solid reel
When I ordered it the pic showed a 7.1:1 ratio but it was a 6.6:1

Love ABU Garcia
I love This Revo S reel. There's not much to say about this reel but it's worth every penny... I use this reel for Jigging and works real well. It's rigged up with a Abu Garcia Veritas rod 7' Medium Heavy Rod. I recommend this reel and get this rod and you have the lightest combo ever...

Just love it!
Super smooth, I wish I had bought one years ago. Can't do with out it now. Edit: 3rd time using it, side panel popped off and sank in water. Did not notice it was loose. Hoping there is a way to order a new piece.
