I liked the bright color. With so much of my gear being black, the bright color helped me not lose them. And they weren’t slippery on boat between dives.

Works great to prevent fins from chafing feet plus coming in multiple sizes is crucial

On an serious international dive vacation it is not unusual for us to rack up as many as 25 full dives in a single week. After that many hours in the water I used to sometimes get wear sores from the tight points on my fins on the tops of my feet near the ankles; particularly near the end of the week. This was is in spite of wearing full-foot booties. The resort's dive shop recommended these socks for that problem and keeps them in stock in multiple sizes. These socks worked beautifully to prevent the issue and I've dove them ever since on any extended diving opportunities. I wear a men's 13 shoe and these socks' XXL size fit me easily. (The only dive bootie socks I'd previously found here in the 'States came only in a single "One size fits most" size. As you'd expect: a size that fits a small woman's foot came nowhere near to fitting my much larger man's foot). The polypropylene blend material works well for me. The socks stay in place well under my booties without tending to slide down on the foot during use. The dive socks I'd previously found were made from Lycra and were a bit too slippery for my taste. I strongly recommend these and carry both a primary plus a spare pair as well on all of my trips. (I added the spare pair to my checklist because I once had high winds blow a sock off a resort's equipment drying tree and disappear under the adjoining deck).

A FOOT SAVER

Pair this with a good pair of water shoes or scuba boots and you will not have to deal with blisters at all, even if you are diabetic, or have circulation issue. This is designed to be a second skin for you while your feet are wet, and they work great!!!

No heel bend

These are straight tubes. There is no heel bend in the fabric so it bunches up in the front of your ankle.

Great fit and very comfortable

I bought these to wear with river sandals on a recent rafting trip on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. the water is very cold in the river and these helped keep my feet warm when we went through rapids. They are not water proof however and if they get soaking wet your foot is actually colder than if your weren't wearing them. This happened one day when my feet got wetter than normal. Despite that I was very glad to have them. I also plan on wearing them with dive fins this summer in Florida- not for warmth but for protection agains rubbing. The fit was excellent and the seams did not rub at all. I wore them on short hikes too and had no problems. I wouldn't recommend hiking in them for long periods of time because I think they would start to rub. I bought two pairs, one in fuschia and the other in turquoise. The turquoise pair are thicker than the fuschia ones- don't know why because they are identical in all other respects

They protect feet from blisters in fins

Cons: they are a little loose in the toe. Pros: They totally prevent blisters from dive fins/swim fins.

Great water socks

I bought these socks for the ATM cave trip in Belize where I knew that I would be wading through water for several hours. I was very happy with them and didn't experience any of the squishy sock feeling that I was trying to avoid. The color is really nice too. My only complaint is that there is a large seam that goes around them so it felt a little weird stepping on it at first but I got used to it quickly.
