Size Down

I usually wear a medium, so I got a medium in this dress. I wish I got the small though so it wouldn’t look so baggy. It fits very loosely but is super comfortable. It looks very cute with a fitted cardigan on top. I was able to wear it to work, and also to dinner. I got the dark green version. The fabric is smooth, does not catch on any hangnails, the slit keeps it from being too boring, and even though it’s very thin it doesn’t cling to lumps on my body in an unflattering way. However, throughout the day, I noticed that if any water splashed on it, it would leave water rings. By the end of the day, I had splotches all over the front of the dress even though the water had completely dried. So although I do recommend this dress and give it a solid 4 for quality, price, and style, I would only get darker colors or a patterned version to avoid this issue.

Plus Size - size down

I wanted to love this dress. I ordered it to wear on a cruise vacation but it did not arrive in time. No worries, based on the product description it would be a great summer dress. The material is soft and does have some stretch to it. It is silky, like a nice pair of sheets. The pattern seems well done and no obvious snags or problems with stitching. I did have to adjust the spaghetti straps, which helped the fit in my chest area but still left a sagging bit of material under my arms. The fit was baggy in some areas and too tight in others, which with my body type isn't unusual but there is no easy way to alter this without taking the garment apart and resewing it. I was hoping to be able to add a belt for definition, but this dress was just not right for my body type and not even a belt would help. I am holding on to it to see if a friend will help me cut it down into a top!

So much static

This dress attracts static so much. Granted, it’s windy and dry right now, but this is crazy. It will need some serious static guard. Otherwise, expect that every detail of your shape may be on full display. I have wide hips and a relatively big backside. Though I can wear a large top, in any skirt or dress that may be slightly fitted I go for the XL because I don’t really prefer clothing to be tight on my hips. When the XL wasn’t available for this, I chose the XXL over the L. That may have been a mistake. I actually like how the dress fits in the hips fine. It’s quite roomy (but currently clings because, you know, the static). But the top is pretty dang big. This is more or less a rectangle from the armpits down. So while I like how it drapes at the hips, I don’t prefer how much it drapes at the chest. I will say, though, that nothing shows. It’s not like a peek a boob or anything. It’s just baggy under the arms. The draping doesn’t happen in the front or back, just on the sides. With a cardigan over top it looks fine. I’ll likely take it in though. I sew, and I don’t see how this would give me any trouble. The color is a beautiful copper very close to a penny. I do think this dress resembles a satin nightgown, but I still like it. I’m 5’9”, and the dress hits mid-calf with the straps adjusted to their longest.

True to size

This dress definitely fits true to size and I would purchase it in other colors. I am 5 ft 1 in and I think it has a good length. The slit isn’t too revealing.

Loose and comfy

Nice relaxed dress styled for ease and comfort. I'm curious to it's wash -and -wearability so I will update if needed once I do. As is it's sleek and constructed as a shift so it doesn't look like a nightgown. Cover with a denim jacket and you're good to go
