nice

I bought these to use as swimsuit bottom because I prefer crotch coverage (I'm older and not interested in showing it all off). Worked out great.

well-made, affordable, true-to-size shorts

Even though I made the mistake of trusting the reviews that said these ran large enough that you could size down (not true for my body type at least), these are still very nice running shorts for the price. I'm 5' 8", currently 165 lbs, and a size 8 and while the size Medium does fit, I would have been more comfortable with a Large (which is what I normally order). Since I'm actively working on losing weight, these Mediums should fit perfectly once I reach 140 but right now they feel a tiny bit snug- not skintight around the rear or leg opening but they do ride up when I sit down which means I won't be using them on the exercise bike as I'd planned and I will have to be very careful about washing/drying them so they don't shrink. The material and construction is good- not flimsy or cheap- and the mesh side panels are subtle so you don't feel like you're in a Motley Crue video. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and will probably be back for another pair once I'm closer to an actual Medium again.

The quality is not as good as some of the name brand athletic shorts like UA, Adidas, etc.

When I first received these, I was happy with them. They are a basic pair of athletic shorts with the inner-panty attached (which feels like really cheap fabric, and seems like it might fall apart rather quickly). The actual fabric of the shorts doesn't seem to have any stretch to it, so when I'm at the gym doing leg exercises, I'm fearful I'm going to split my shorts. I've ordered other athletic shorts from Amazon like Under Armor and Adidas, and the difference in the fabric/overall quality is huge. I don't think I'd order another pair of these shorts again.

Rides up when walking / jogging

Comfortable, but rides up when walking or jogging. At least if you don't have that thigh gap.

Ripped In Less Than 2 Months

Within a month and a half, my black pair ripped down one part of my leg. About 8 inches long. However, I didn't know it ripped so I walked to the local donut shop to purchase donuts for my daughter's sleep over. A couple strangers behind me were giggling while we were in line, then when I got home I realized why they were probably giggling. I examined my blue pair and noticed they are starting to seem stretched at one seam. The shorts are relaxed on me, not tight, so there's no need for them to rip. They're just poor quality.
