Works great

Love this, bottom drain is large enough to get drippings done quickly and yet large enough to use as a dispenser for liquid batters too! Easy clean up. I use it frequently, has become a valuable kitchen tool!

Strainer holes too large

The strainer holes are too large and do not filter smaller particles making it inconvenient as I need to put cheesecloth or another filter on top therefore reducing the functionality this otherwise handy item.

Grease Separator

Made brisket burnt ends this weekend for the Super Bowl and used my new Amco grease separator to prepare my marinating liquid. Easy to use, great gadget.

Best fat separator I have ever used.

Once I figured out how to use it (put in freezer for fat to congeal) I love it. I cook quite a bit and this has met all of my needs and expectations.

Worked better than expected

I sent this to my wife as a Christmas gift and at first, she didn't act excited. She didn't think it was very useful for she used a spoon to get the oil separated and seemed to be fine. When it was time to make the gravy and separate the oil she gave it a try. WOW, her expression was pure enjoyment. She said it was now a breeze to separate the oil and the device makes it so enjoyable - before took so long and now it's done in less than a minute. But the biggest surprise is the quality of the gravy, even the rest of the family commented on the difference in the gravy. Another great product we received from Amazon was described as it was.

Wow what a fantastic kitchen gadget

Wow what a fantastic kitchen gadget! We make a lot of chicken soup and this is great for getting all the fat out of it. Just ladle the soup through the top, let it settle so the fat rises to the top and squeeze the handle so the fat free soup pours out from the bottom. Also great for gravy and stock. I removed one star because the pin that secures the squeeze mechanism to the handle popped out on its first use. I have pushed it back in but I'm not sure how long it will last. Even if it dies I will definitely purchase another as it is so much better than the old style fat separators. Also I love that it can be bought in both 500ml and 1litre sizes (I went for 1litee) - although the 1litre is more like 850/900ml with the lid on.

Works!

I can now throw out every other grease separator that I own. I wish the handle was more substantial but this works great, regardless. The liquid doesn't slowly drip out so you have to wait forever and it doesn't gush out like Niagara Falls either, it releases at a good pace. When you put it down it doesn't leak, it does a very good job of separating the grease, couldn't be happier with it and would absolutely recommend it.

Great gravy seperator.

I have used a gravy separator jug for many years the one I had has now cracked and worn out so when I found this one I wanted to give it a try. It works brilliantly this new design where the contents go through the bottom of the jug. It is well made and strong. I had bought a cheap one from a supermarket and on the first use it cracked and the hot oil was all over the worktop a false economy. I would recommend this one.

Good product

User friendly. Makes making non-greasy gravy (wow, a double alliteration!) a breeze. Good price for a great gadget (uhm, sorry, but looks like I did it again).
