Very nice

This is a great weight for our 20month old. The only thing is she is clever and strong enough to unsnap the snaps at the top. It doesn’t bother me, but might bug other parents

Cool and comfortable!

My 2-year old still loves to sleep (at night) in wearable sleeping bags, but at over 34 inches in height, she is now too tall for all of our usual brands of "infant" sleeping bags. Although my little-one has been walking for ages now, she still sleeps in her crib, so we don't yet need the "footed" sleeping bags that have holes in the bottom for little-ones to push their feet through in order to safely climb in and out of a toddler bed without tripping up. And regular blankets are out of the question because my daughter rolls around so much in her sleep that she'd kick the blanket off in 10 seconds flat! Thus began the hunt for a toddler-sized 100% cotton footless, wearable sleeping bag that would be cool enough for my daughter to wear during the warmer summer months. (With central A/C, the temperature in her bedroom is usually about 72-76 degrees overnight). This Baby Deedee Sleep Nest Lite Sleeping Bag was the perfect find! It's made of 2 layers of lightweight, breathable "t-shirt" cotton, so it's perfect for warmer nurseries, and it's soft to the touch. My little-one wears long-sleeved footed pajamas made of bamboo viscose fabric (which has great temperature regulation properties) under this Sleeping Bag, and she has never gotten too hot or cold during the night. More importantly, although this Sleep Nest Lite is made of 100% cotton, the fabric is not treated with toxic chemical flame retardants. So far, the Sleep Nest Lite has been great; so much so that I've already ordered another one in blue! The Large size is designed to fit kids up to 3 years old, 35 lbs and 39 inches, so there's lots of room for my daughter to grow into. And the Sleeping Bag is generously cut, so it gives her plenty of freedom to move around in her sleep (which she does a lot of!) without feeling constricted. Honestly, it seems so comfy on my toddler that I find myself wishing that Baby Deedee made these Sleep Nest Lite Sleeping Bags to fit adults! :-) Grade: A

Bought a second one

My son outgrew the XL HALO Sleepsack, he was 15 months/ 33.5 inches when I started looking for something bigger. Really wanted to get him something made of natural fibers, not synthetic. We used to love Aden+Anais sleep sacks for how soft and breatheable they are, even the 4-layer ones, but unfortunately their largest size is too small for my son. I stumbled upon this option along with Gunamuna Gunapod, and got both of them since I wasn't sure about the size. Baby Deedee in Large fit my son perfectly!! Looks like he still has some room to grow (not too much though) before he gets uncomfortable in moving his legs inside the bag. It's double-layered, which is about the only slightly negative thing during summertime, but the material is very soft. I usually dress my son in a short-sleeved romper for the night, and for the most part he does ok in a 71F-72F room. There were a couple of times when he actually slept better when I unzipped the bottom of the zipper and his legs were free, but I'm not comfortable with that since he constantly wants to climb out of the crib in the mornings. We haven't had an issue with how wide the neck and arm openings are, in fact I am pretty happy as I know they are not constraning my little guy (with that I have to say that I haven't tried putting it on him when he was fighting bedtime, so maybe in that scenario I would've actually wanted smaller openings.) I also LOVE the zipper - unlike in Aden+Anais, it has big plastic teeth and is pretty easy to zip. After 2 weeks of use, I went ahead and bought another one of these (in lime, which has a fluorescent zipper, but only for some time after turning the lights off, which doesn't matter to me one way or the other) so that I always have a clean one on hand. Unfortunately, I had to return Gunamuna Gunapod since their Large size was exactly the same as XL in HALO Sleepsack.

Fits well and light weight - snaps a must have

So far we like it. It is a nice soft light sweatshirt type of material. It is exactly what I was looking for; we wanted a light one for the warm nights (it will not be enough for cooler nights, it really is quite light, but not like a sheet - it has some substance to it). I like that the zipper closure doesn't go all the way up to his chin; it also has a fabric behind it and so there is no chance of it irritating his face. It is easy enough to work with during the night, I can do it more or less in the dark. I bought the medium and find it does fit my 6 month old (it is a little big, which I would expect, but it is not huge - so we can use it now). I bought another sleeper by a different company and the medium is much bigger, we still cannot use it, so I was happy that this one is useable now. It doesn't bunch up around his face, the fit is pretty nice. I love the snaps on the shoulders, a really nice feature when you want to take your baby in and out of the sleeper. If you are debating between sleepers, pick one with the snaps, you will find it extremely handy ( I was looking at Halo sleepers and even though I found some nice ones I ended up getting this because of the shoulder snaps). These snaps are good too, they are not flimsy at all or cheap, I cannot see how it would be undone on its own. I have a sleeping bag that we are using now that has snaps and I love it. Overall, a good sleeping bag. I do wish the colors were more interesting, but that is not important (the one I've been using has such a cute embroidered sleeping elephant I guess I got spoiled)

Safe and comfortable for baby!

I bought this as an alternative to blankets for my baby when he was about 5 months old. He had absolutely no issues with it, was very comfortable and I found he'd sleep more peacefully while wearing it. Lovely light material, perfect year-round if your home maintains a standard temperature. We made sure to take it on our travels too and it really helped ease baby into a new sleeping environment. I haven't had any issues with arm or neck holes being too big (as some other reviewers are indicating), and my little one wasn't able to open the snap buttons (they're quite strong). The only incredibly specific drawback, and why I took a star off, is that if you have taller baby like I do (he's in the 95th percentile for height), they'll outgrow the medium size sleep sack much sooner than 18 months. My little one stopped using the medium at 12 months. Otherwise, it's a fantastic, essential product that really helped make our nights go by smoothly, quietly and peacefully!

Quality and functional

Perfect for summer nights. It's nice and light. I have a 1yr old and bought the 18-24month as I find some sleep sacs are short but this one is nice and long. It was a little big at her shoulders so I criss-crossed the straps and it works perfectly. I also bought this one because of the snaps at the shoulders, no fighting with the little one to get her arms through it when she's tired. The zipper is plastics and a little thicker which is preferred for baby and parents.

We love these sleep sacks. We have purchased 3 baby deedee sleep sacks and I am about to purchase another for the winter season coming up. They are high quality, beautiful material, and my son loves them! One of the best features is the shoulder snaps – that is why I continue to purchase these ones. We just find it wayyy easier than trying to jam his arms into a hole when he is already over having a shirt changed!

I love this brand

This is my 2nd sleep sack from this brand. I have the fleece for winter and this one for spring/summer. The snaps at the shoulder make it so easy to put on and off, not a lot of sleep sacks have snaps at the shoulder. It also washes really well.
