Black elongated slow close toilet seat

I am a little disappointed. There are a couple of smudges/scratches on the seat that I can’t clean off. It’s so much of a hassle to return or exchange this type of item though. Not wasting more time.

Great product

Slow-close hinges work very well - completely silent - much better than the loud crashing noise my old toilet seat made when it fell down. The wood is thick and very sturdy - you can easily sit on top of the closed lid without it creaking or collapsing underneath you, like most plastic toilet seat lids will do. The best part: it's also extremely easy to clean. The paint seems to be high-quality and very well adhered to the toilet seat & lid. In my experience, most drips or splatters simply wipe off with a dry towel, no cleaning products needed, although I guess if something were really dried on there, you might need to use some all-purpose cleaner. The slow-close hinges also have a quick-release feature so that you can detach the seat & lid from the toilet basin without removing any screws, etc., making it easy to quickly clean those areas that are hard to reach with normal toilet seats. When you're done, you can just snap the seat & lid back onto the hinges. Very happy with my purchase.

Mechanism failure

I purchased four of the self-closing toilet bowl lid/seats and one of them failed quite early, another one failed in about a year. I asked for a replacement on the first one, and received it from the manufacturer; I communicated with a woman who was very helpful, and arranged everything. My thought is that the self-closing feature is not quite ready for prime time - it fails. The seat itself is nicely presented.

Wonderfully quiet

Two young grandchildren have moved in. They are loud, including slamming toilet sets at all hours and pre-dawn. This seat solves that by closing quietly. As the I Ching so often reads, preponderance of the small. It has made a big difference. This is a well-made seat as well.

Great seat

Toilet seat was heavy, sturdy and just what I was looking for. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong shape. The only thing I was unhappy about was that I already paid almost $50 for the seat and this seller made me pay shipping to send it back which cost me additional money for a product I cannot use. Next time I will make sure I order the correct product to avoid additional return expenses

Very nice item!

I love the chrome Slow Close Hinges! They work great! They look really nice and add a touch of class to my toilet. Perfect fit for my round shaped bowl. They have the oval shaped one also! Now I don't have to hear anyone slam my toilet seat! LOL... They are recommended to everyone! Price is great too!

Gets the job done

I needed a black slow close seat for my bathroom. For the price-I want the lid to be thicker, sturdier plastic. When you sit on it closed you can feel the give. Overall a well made seat in terms of slow close mechanism.

Slow hinge stops working after 6 months

Slow hinge stops working after 6 months. Now it's just a regular wooden toilet seat. I guess it works for what it is.
