I’ve only Used as a hot mask
I had one of these for years but it finally melted in the microwave. I did without for months, but when I caught my grandchild’s nasty cold I went looking for some sinus relief. This new pack seems to have a lot more instructions than the old one—warnings about not microwaving it too long, warnings about not putting the hot mask on your eyelids (how does one avoid that? I guess they are covering themselves. ) It doesn’t get that hot and it doesn’t last a long time, but it IS soothing, at least to me. I usually just move it around to my forehead or the sinuses in my cheeks. Get this, a salt inhaler, and drink LOTS of fluids.

Stinks after warming but gets the job done
I bought this to help with my Sinus pressure/headaches. Upon opening the box I noticed how it had just a little weight to it. Imaids, feeling through the material I can feel tons small little rice or pellet type beads. The instruction manual was inside the box however the actual directions on how to warm the mask up in the microwave was actually on the Box. I’m glad I didn’t throw it away right after I opened it. I followed the directions and put the mask in the microwave for 45 seconds. I had NO issues when it was warming up. However after I pulled it out it smelled strongly of burnt rice. I don’t think that is what’s inside but it stuck. I went ahead sat down and put it over my sinuses and velcrowed it in place. It felt good! You can’t put it to tight or it won’t hit the actual sinus spot right above your eye. Ignoring the smell I enjoyed the warmth for a bit. Until I took it off. My face felt moist as if whatever was in the mask was sweating through the mask onto my face. Personally I didn’t like that especially since warmth opens pores. Who knows what was sleeping into my skin. Next time I will put something between the mask and my face to avoid that. Besides those 2 issues it worked very well.

Words could never quite describe my love for the Bed Buddy!
So, I get headaches. Sinus, migraines, tension, stress...I get them all! For pretty much all headaches I get, I crave something HOT on my head. I searched around for awhile and finally found the Bed Buddy. I figured, what the heck, I might as well give it a try. AND IT WORKED! Now, it doesn't rid me completely of my headaches, but, warming that baby up and laying with it over my eyes just feels amazing. Trust me, if you get headaches and crave that warmth(or cold I suppose, though I've never used it that way), you need this. Now, here's the dirty run down: 1. This works. It lessens my headache pain while I'm waiting for medication to kick in. 2. When warmed in the microwave, it can keep hot for a good bit of time. I'd say maybe 30-45 minutes. 3. Provides a MOIST heat. Perfect for sinus headaches. 4. You WILL look ridiculous wearing this on your head. But it doesn't matter, because you'll feel awesome. 5. Your spouse WILL make fun of you for wearing a giant blue eye mask that proudly states "THE ORIGINAL BED BUDDY" on the front. But again, you don't seem to care since you're getting wonderous headache relief! 6. The buddy does have a slight odd smell. It's not bad, but sort of smells like oatmeal. Just a warning for those who get very sensitive to smells with headaches. 7. The buddy tells you not to wear this warm on your eyes...which I totally ignore. In the end, this works. I love it and I've had it since 2010. It's held up fabulously and I'll never get rid of it!

Truly a life saver
You know when you have such a horrible sinus headache you wish someone would hand you a Dremmel with something attached that would allow you to clear your own sinuses to stop the pain? Well, Sinus Buddy is a much less gory problem-solver. I always use mine warm and it truly helps things settle down. If you understand my Dremmel comment, get the Sinus Buddy! ????????

Really really really helps relieve sinus pressure
I have owned two of these now. After using it for several years, I finally burnt the first one in the microwave and it smelled awful - BE CAREFUL! Follow the heating directions and you'll be fine. The Sinus Pack really does help relieve sinus pain. For me it works best held under my eyes (not directly over, like in the picture) and over my nose, or on my forehead. The strap is not so great, it doesn't seem to do much except velcro my hair. If the strap worked better or there was another way to keep it in place (I have to hold it) I would rate five stars. One other note (probably obvious to most) you need to take off your glasses to use this. So if you're vision isn't great without glasses, don't plan on doing anything else while you're using this!
