Item works as it is supposed to. I do like the bottoms having a little base to hold the rods. maybe move each section a bit farther apart to compensate for the reel

Good value - here's some tips for installation and use
The overall installation and use is good - here's some non-obvious tips: 1) use two levels (ok, it might be obvious that you want to use a level, but you'll probably want both a 3 or 4 foot level and a 6 inch level) 2) Measure and use the eyelet distances from each rod you intend to use with this bracket kit before you mount the top section to prevent the "fingers" from interfering with the eyelets of one or more of the rods 3) If you have drywall and don't have a stud other sturdy mounting surface behind all four mounting holes, then you'll want to use some drywall anchors for those mounting points that don't hit a stud (drywall anchors do NOT come with the kit - just really 5/8" screws) and if you DO have a stud behind the mounting hole, then you'll want to get longer screws to ensure you actually bite into the wood with the screw 4) Use some silicone paste (don't need much) to "lube" the surfaces between the fingers of the upper section. This will prevent damage to the styrofoam fingers as you insert and remove the rods That's it. Works great if you follow these tips - might work well regardless, but these are the things I did and its working great for the price for me. My biggest complaint is that I wish the spacing was wider as it would be impossible to utilize all the spots while storing all the rods with reels still attached - this is why I gave it a 4/5 as well as the short screws, lack of drywall anchors and the need for lube to prevent damage to the fingers.

Two People at Berkley Need Slapped
Two people at Berkley Need Slapped. 1. The person that decided which screws to include for install and 2. The person that agreed. The rack itself is great but the 4 screws included are awful. First off, they are flat head. Flat head..? Who uses flat heads anymore? Terrible decision there. They're also only 5/8" long.. The mount point for the screws is 1/8" thick.. 99% of drywall is 1/2" thick.. You know what 1/8" + 1/2" equals?? Hmmm? You are correct.. 5/8". The included screws don't even reach the studs in the wall. Do you see the issue here? Placing rods and pulling them out of these brackets.. How long do you think till the rack falls off the wall and the expensive rods you have placed in it come falling to the ground like you just lost a 10lb bass at the boat and spiked your rod out of frustration.. Okay. Maybe not that hard but you know what I'm saying. Not sure about you but I wouldn't trust these tiny screws in drywall to hold my collective $1000+ rods and reels no drywall anchors included which is okay cause the screw holes are 16" apart.. Which most framed walls will allow you to mount to the studs.. If only the screws are long enough. Anyways rant over. I replaced the screws with 1-1/4" drywall screws and it works great. I'm not worried about my rods falling off the wall and the rods are now organized and off the ground. If anyone from Berkley is reading this.. The wall mount rack is great, especially for the price. But still.. Slap those two people I mentioned before.

Screws are short and flathead. But Like who does that lol. Replace the screws with Phillips and a tad bit longer so it really has a chance to grab what it’s connected to. It’s a good holder for the smaller rods but I had to cut some of the foam out for my salmon and sturgeon rods. Over all it’s decent and easy to install. If you have tons of big rods this isn’t for you.

perfect for rod storage!
picked this up to help store some rods in hall closet and its been amazing at keeping the rods off the ground and protected from damage. Good quality, easy to install. highly recommend

OK, need some more thought into the design....
they are a little too short to span between your typical wall studs. so you are forced to use some sort of sheet rock retainer. Should have made them long enough to span between your standard spacing of wall 2x4's. Seems only logical, as most people mount them to the wall....

Not for surf rods
Sweeter mine to ceiling joists to hang rods horizontally. Works great for my freshwater rods, but trying to use it for my 10’ surf rod did not work well because the surf rod is too wide and the foam won’t hold it up. Wouldn’t be an issue if I used for ONLY larger rods, because then I could have spaced the two pieces further apart and not tried to hold such a thick part of the surf rod. Also would have been fine (probably) if they were being held vertically. Overall great product for the price, and wanted a “name brand” versus an Amazon rando brand.

Works as a holder for my rods on my pontoon
I had this model on the pontoon I sold last year so decided to order it again and install on my new pontoon. No changes I the design. I do wish they used a bit softer foam to hold the rod portion as it is a bit still and tends to dry in the sun. It's a minor complaint as at this price point it's easy enough to replace every few years.

Great rod holder
Easy to install, cheaper than in stores and does the job well. They just need to change the picture so it shows bottom and top pieces, and not two tops.

Rod holder could be improved
Works fine but prefer ones with "v" in front as stabilizes rods and and reels from twisting around. So got hand skil saw and cut them to accomplish that rather than send them back. You can accomplish same thing with pcv pipe.
