Fish Go crazy for this stuff - But it won't stay on the hook long enough to cast!

I bought several Catfish Baits, including this one, and tested them by placing a different bait on each of four rods and casting them a few yards apart in the same freshwater bay. These tests lasted five hours a day, every day for a week... From 7:00 pm until Midnight.... I hooked into the largest freshwater fish of my life using this bait.... It burned off every inch of line in seconds: my drag was screaming, and then it snapped my 20 lbs test line like it was kite string.... I'm guessing it was a four foot channel cat: topping 40 lbs. All I caught was a glimpse of its massive head: as it rolled in the water and turned for the deep waters of the reservoir. Catfish go crazy for the stink of this stuff... But it is impossible to get it to stay on the hook long enough to cast your line... I finally gave up and started putting the bait inside tiny mesh bags (I made by cutting up some mosquitoes netting). This kept the bait together, prevented small fish from stripping the bait, and made a sizable mouthful: eliminating all but the trophy size Catfish from taking the hook... I don't understand why manufacturers don't sell this stuff in tiny mesh bags to begin with.... Just hook the bag and cast.... Now I can bait up once, when I first arrive, and know I can let it sit in the channel until another 40 ponder comes along and smells the bait....

It was ok some hate but at same I did like it but ok!

Well it was kinda back and forth but it was ok.but here it is. It was ok but I will try something else this but anyway like blood or cheese but anyway I put out there in a sock and a bunch tho of the dough baits and zip tied the top and let it go next time I will try and didn’t really get the time to really use it because I realized it was a dud so I tried it on some brim and got several bites and nuffin but it did not really not come off the hook so I’m in the mixed feeling but and then brim situation was not too good actually.but anyway I threw the rest out trying to lure in some fish mostly brim so I liked it but I have some hate do I guess I’ll try it again 1-10 scale 6.5-7.1 in that range but one thing is it smelled like moist dog food so I’m gonna try some of the other stuff and then go on from there but anyway I liked ok product some dislike but overall ok my man ok….-. P.s make the chicken liver smell AWFUL it a good thing for catfish.

Does the job!

I've been using Suxxxn Imxxxt for years up until last year when the formula must have bee changed and the stuff got so soft and runny that it wouldn't stay on a treble hook for more than a couple of minutes. I decided to try this out based on reviews. 2 evenings in a row this nailed these 2 guys with some smaller ones caught as well. Perhaps it was just a lucky couple of days, but I live on a lake and fish several times a week mostly just off my dock. Molding this onto a small treble hook seems to allow it to stay on quite well and rather than fishing with a simple bobber and the bait 20" or so below the surface I now just let this go to the bottom..( about 8 feet at the end of the dock) with nothing else added...no float or sinker. When I see my line moving left or right I know I have one....it's that simple. Perhaps this isn't the absolute best bait around, but at this time after not catching much in the past month I'm quite pleased with it. I just ordered more!

Disappointed, but great bait.

I’ve used this bait before with excellent results. For some reason, this bait would not stay on the hook. It would literally break apart when baiting. It’s great bait, but I wouldn’t order again from here due to the uncertainty of shelf life.

Falls of easily

I caught one small catfish with it. The issue is that the chunks will fall off in like 5/10 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this.

They ship it in soft envelope and it shows up smashed.

This is good stuff, but real pain when it shows up all smashed up in a soft envelope.

Not what I remember

Used these before and they were great but the pack I received, although unopened, was very dry and repeatedly lost during casting. Not the normal gooey chunks I have expected from this product. Perhaps this was a very old stock?

Die Boilies kamen in einem kaputten Zustand an. Siehe Foto. Total unzufrieden. Mit den Dingern kann ich nichts anfangen!!
