De Blackstone Wind Guards helpen de vervelende effecten van wind op de bakplaat af te weren. Sterke wind kan een uitdaging worden bij het grillen, omdat het de temperatuur kan verlagen of de vlammen kan doven terwijl je aan het koken bent. Maar met de Wind Guards kun je met meer controle grillen zonder je zorgen te maken over het weer. BROUGHT MY BLACKSTONE BACK TO LIFE
These brought my Blackstone back to life - I had been having problems with getting the surface hot enough to cook during these windy winterly months. These little wind blocks have completely cured my problem.

Works, BUT...
I just got these on and tried them out, I can see it WILL in fact help with wind and more consistent temperature....I really like the product and DO recommend these....ehhh the one thing, I do wish they were or could be installed more “permanently” rather than just sorta hang on the sides....what I’ve noticed with this are couple things....the hard life cover...does fit but makes it little tighter and makes it little more combersome to hang off the back like it’s designed to. Also during use your spatula can hit and knock of/slide around when moving and adjusting food in the corner to keep warm....same goes when cleaning and scraping, the hang over lip tends to get in the way. Like I said I highly recommend, wish they were more of a permanent fixture...when you get these, you’ll see what I mean....

They simply do the job!
They do the job of blocking even stronger winds coming over the water, across our beach house deck. They are typical of the amazing Blackstone products.

Wind guards
A good idea but more window dressing than effective

They don't exactly fit a 28" griddle.
The side panels are approximately 4" too short. So you'll have to determine which part of your side shelves you want to protect. They slide easy enough back to front just don't cover the whole side of the flat top. Disappointing. Also, on my griddle the side walls of the cooktop slope down ward as it gets to the front. The griddle guards don't slope but are the same height the whole length. So they don't hug the slope. Not a deal breaker but you'd think that Blackstone who makes both products would have designed it better. The rear guards cover too much of the rear. They interfere with the grease cart tilting it downward. As another review mentioned, some adjustment will have to be made. Cutting off 1/2" on each guard should work. I'll think twice before ordering any other Blackstone accessories. Bad design.

Why all the good ratings?
I was under the impression this was a great product given the high customer rating. That was misleading! I have the 28" griddle from Lowes that has two side trays. The slats on the side pieces are too wide and thus don't sit flush on the griddle part. Does it work still? Yes. But it looks terrible. The slats for the back part of the grill don't sit right either, pushing on the rear grease tray. It works better in the back than on the sides but it is still very poorly designed. What a disappointment from Blackstone. Do yourself a favor and get the after market wind guards that sit flush and use magnets. They look so much better and work as intended.
