Here's the thing with these rashguards- they run true to size, which means they are SKIN TIGHT (which is their purpose- they are designed for watersports, and any fabric flapping around creates drag, which decreases speed and efficiency...) so if you are looking for a comfy shirt to wear at the beach or at the pool while hanging out, go up a few sizes. I'm a distance swimming, I am 5'4" and 120 pounds and have pretty huge shoulders and I wear a small, but it's SKIN tight on me. It's definitely not comfortable, but it doesn't chafe, doesn't create drag, and does a fairly good job of protecting my skin from the harsh Florida sun. I still get a tan with it, but it's nothing compared to the dark tan my skin gets on my legs, so it's working. A huge issue with these is the quality control. I have found that every color EXCEPT black is pretty much destroyed within a week or two of wearing it on a daily basis. The black holds up for weeks when exposed to regular sunshine and pool chemicals/environmental elements. The color versions (I've gone through both the blue and white) seem to just turn into baggy, transparent, sheer fabric within a few uses, even when properly taken care of and rinsed well after use. The white fares fairly better than the colors. Here's a tip- after being in the pool, do NOT allow the rashguard to dry while you are wearing it- it will dry stretched out, and will not bounce back to its original size. If you want the rashguard a little loose, this is fine, but if you are looking for a rashguard for watersports and need it to stay slim-fitting, this is kind of crucial to preserve its fit. So good rashguard in that it doesn't chafe and keeps out the sun, not so good in that it doesn't last. But, get the black if you can.

Must have if you like being in the sun
I have all the colors they offer. I live in Florida and of course love outdoor activities. I have issues with sun cancer and these really help with the strong UV and protects me. My dermatologist recommended these as I was having issues with getting skin cancer burned and cut out. A life saver for sure.

Reliable UPF protection- must wear skin tight for real lap swimming.
I love this for lap swimming outdoors. Sun protection and good coverage. I am super fair skinned and need to be constantly vigilant about sun exposure. With this and spf swim leggings I can swim laps in an outdoor pool and know I ma not goin to fry. You must size down and wear it skin tight if you are planning to actually swim, not just splash around for fun. I have had other rash guards that weren't skin tight and they were annoying as F! Created drag, got air bubbles, I couldn't wait to get them off. They are fine for just recreation, but not for lap swimming. FYI-I have this in the short sleeve version .Swam in Maui wearing it. Felt great . But even with waterproof SPF 80 lotion on exposed skin, in one hour I had a tan line on my arms. That is why I upgraded to long sleeve.

Form fitting even though I ordered a size up.
I didn't want the skin-tight, slammed into it look. I ordered a size larger than my normal size. I am 5'7" and normally wear a size 6. This is form fitting. There is no looseness. I had hoped for a little room but I am still satisfied with the way it fits. I also purchased the "loose fit" version in black and it fits more like a t-shirt which is what I was hoping for. I wanted both black and white and this was the only white one of this brand. Since there is so much variation from brand to brand I opted to stick with this brand. I would say that it fits a little tighter on me than it shows in the picture and again, I ordered a size up. I think I would have been happier with two sizes up. In the loose fit version I ordered medium, my normal size and am happy with the fit. I can't fault the shirt for the sizing, rash guards are supposed to be tight.

Great, basic rashguard
This rashguard is a regular in my rashguard collection, and provides adequate sun protection and warmth while swimming/snorkeling in Hawaii. I have several rashguards as I like to keep covered while in the water for many reasons (sun, jellies, warmth), and this one works great. It is on the thin side, so if you are looking for something to wear in cool water or need excellent sun protection, this might not work for you. For reference I am 5'4", 125#, 34D and a large fits good and snug.

Beware return fee
Even after reading the reviews and comments on sizing, I decided on a medium. I am 5'1" and 150lbs. While I didn't mind the snugness from a fit/comfort perspective I feel that a large would have been just as fitting and probably more flattering. I knew it was a risk, but didn't realize there is a return fee subtracted from your refund if you decide to return it. So those that order multiples to get the right fit, beware! The material is lightweight and the armholes/shoulders were perfectly aligned. But I just have too many rolls for this to be the least bit appealing. Had it been a darker color, I may have kept it but the butter yellow was just too revealing.

Good buy
I am 5'9" and weigh 135 lbs. I purchased the Large and thought that it fit pretty good. It was skin tight, but I didn't feel restricted. I wore it all day and hardly noticed. I have a longer body, so the shirt would slide up while wearing a lifejacket and expose my lower back and the sleeves were a little short, but it covered the parts that needed covered. The fabric is stretchy and comfortable. I am thinking about buying one for my younger sister.

RUNS SMALL
Off in sizing by 2 sizes, (if a US Small, order a Large). The design applique is sticky, not cured in application. I RETURNED IT Characteristics for rating irrelevant if you can't put it on.

Great fit
I haven't taken this in the water yet but the fit it perfect. I'm 5'6 and around 126lb with a 27/28 inch waist and 38 inches around the chest measured around the boob point not under. I bought a medium and it's tight but stretchy and fits perfect. Sometimes there's not enough stretch and I can't breath as well but this has a good stretch for bigger boobs.
