Solved our Key Problem

I like this style lock as it prohibits normal bolt cutter access. They did a good job placing the combination pad on the lock and stayed approximately the same size as it's key counter part lock.

Don’t get an open box | make sure it fits first

I really like this lock and is very easy to set up, reset, and use all around. The only drawback for me is that it didn’t fit our backyard gate since the lock where the pad lock hooks in doesnt have enough space to let me do so (please see photo I attached). I should be able to use it on another gate (finger crossed), so I’m keeping it for now. I’m fairly confident of its stainless steel material that it wouldn’t rust at all/quick. The other brinks lock we currently have on the picture, we have been using for over 9 years and there’s no sign of any rust whatsoever. Although we live in the desert and don’t get much rain or snow, it does get very windy here. And even with the lock hole facing forward (not down like usual locks) it hasn’t been bothered by the wind at all. Anyway that’s another review. Just saying I trust this lock. Feels a bit clunky a but I’m not judging the book by its cover or not judging the lock by it’s look lol! Been messing around with and so far no glitch. NOTE: DO NOT get an open box just to save $2-3! Not worth it!! I normally get open box items as much as I can, but I made a mistake on this one. It looks like someone messed up on it and set up a new code and now the factory reset code no longer works for you to change the code. You’ll first need to use the factory code on the back to be able to set up your own. Then you’ll need to use your new one to change it again if needed. DONT RISK IT. Save your time and nerves.

Not weather resistant, hard to set numbers

I think this probably provided great security, but it is not weather resistant (to be fair it doesn't claim to be) and the numbers are hard to twirl -- better have good fingernails. It also makes it look as if there is a security problem -- which I think just adds to security problems.

In theory it’s great, but it’s difficult to move you number with the grips used to turn the lock seem to get in the way (maybe I just have fat fingers) I’ve had this for a while now and had to switch back to my old lock. This product didn’t seem to work good for me

Decent Lock

Easy to set up. Numbers can be slightly challenging to adjust or change depending on the size of your finger and or dexterity. Looks solidly well made. The lock mechanism can be awkward to open at times especially if you wear gloves (like when you're working at a jobsite).

Good, solid lock

This lock unfortunately did not fit what I had intended it for, locking up my shed door. The shackle is too thick. I'm sure I will find another use for it someday so I will keep it rather than go through the hassle of returning it. It's a very strong lock and does not look like it could be cut through easily. The combination was easy to set and requires no extra tools.

It's been sitting in my drawer for weeks...

I can't give an "outdoor" review of this because it's been sitting, staring at me for weeks, expecting me to go and put it on a door outside. The thing is, the door isn't ready for you yet, lock! So in the drawer you stay. That being said - I do fiddle with this quite a lot so I feel I can write at least a bit of a review. It's shiny! It's weighty and all metal (on the outside, I haven't pulled it to pieces yet). There are oiling holes where I want there to be oiling holes, that's a plus, but the numbers are kinda hard to move around. This won't ever work in winter with gloves. On that same subject, I am not too sure how easily the lock will open in a frozen Canadian winter either, the twist mechanism on the face is a bit fiddly to use even not connected to anything - But this one might actually improve with gloves! - Ironic really. Ultimately it's a nice lock and I think it's going to do the job well. I am optimistic for a Canadian winter, I just know it's going to be slightly annoying already, but if it locks and unlocks, that's basically what I want.

Do not recommend!

At first they worked with ease, after a few days/weeks it started to act up where it no longer would open even though the combo numbers lined up. Became a frustration, would take force to open.

Nice heavy duty lock but make sure you have room to get latch connected it quite large
