Really Cute!

My 2-year old granddaughter loves taking her “baby dog” for a walk! It turns corners without tipping over, and appears to be sturdy and very well made. Also, the pull string is a good length for a toddler!

Best pull toy ever!

This pull toy is so fun for toddlers and preschoolers. It is the only pull toy we've ever had that doesn't get flipped over... ever! The string is long enough for children to get a good walk going, and never seems to get tangled or knotted up. This doggie has been walked by 5 grandchildren the last few years and it looks good as new. A great purchase!

Small but mighty

I bought this for my 20 month old. He had a dump truck pull toy & I sucked up the string when I was vacuuming one day. (Ooops) Well… the dump truck used to fall over all the time so I wanted to get him a new pull toy that was more sturdy. When I pulled this dog out of the box my initial reaction was “Ohhhh no. It’s so small!” But my son immediately grabbed the string & took it outside. This thing can go over gravel, grass, even the big stones we have for our landscaping around our house! It doesn’t flip over. It’s so awesome! The string is long enough for my son. Plus the dog’s head moves side-to-side & the spring tail wags. It is just too cute! My son loves it so I’m happy with the purchase.

I have also bought the Brio duck and ant pull toys for my grandsons. This one was for the 10 month old. It is smaller than the other two, which is fine. It's very cute, well made as all Brio toys are. I was a little disappointed that it didn't "do" something. The duck pull toy makes a soft clicking noise that the babies love. The ant has an egg that rolls and flips on its back. The dachshund does have a spring tail which is cute. And the wheels are uneven to make the dog wobble up and down a little bit (made to do that.) I guess I just miss the satisfying soft click of the duck. If it did, I would give it the 5 starts.

Fabulous little toy

Bought this a few months ago for my granddaughter who was into toys she could pull. Everything she had would flip over and bounce along behind, frustrating her. I was intrigued by the low center of gravity for this little guy, and the way his head would turn to follow along. It did not disappoint, very well made, doesn’t tip over all the time, and the pull cord is long enough that he trails happily along behind her rather than hitting her heels. I saw some reviews saying they were disappointed in the smaller size of this toy, but I think it’s the perfect size for a toddlers little hand, and that’s who it’s designed for. My ONLY regret is that I wish I had purchased it a few months earlier, when she was just learning to walk. This little fellow is going to be a staple item to gift to the little ones in my life in the future. I secretly want one for myself... it’s that nice.

An All Time Favorite

*UPDATE* 2 years later & puppy is STILL his favorite! And, surprisingly, puppy is still going strong after being played with by all 6 kids for 2 years solid. Best toy purchase I’ve ever made! He truly is magical. I bought this toy for my 2 year old son based on the wonderful reviews... and I'm not at all disappointed. I don't know what kind of magic this puppy holds, but it has been my son's favorite toy for the last 6 months, since he received it. He takes it with him everywhere. He's not really a toy lover either... nothing really captivates him for the long run, except for this puppy. We recently went on vacation and he insisted on bringing it with him, which was fine as it's small and compact. He played with it the entire trip, just as he does at home. It's a sweet and simple toy that has some other magical quality which makes it very special. It's held up with daily hard use for the last 6 months. An all around fantastic toy. Will be gifting this puppy forever. Thanks for enchanting my son!

Small but fun

Bought for a 1 year old's birthday and it was perfect for the just walking boy. he loves it. It is well made and meets all standards. However, it is very small and has a short string so I am not sure how long it will last him. Very sweet though

Most durable toy ever!

Had this product for 18 months now and i’m pretty sure this little “runny runny dog” (as my nephew calls it) is indestructible! As a beloved toy, he has been pulled through mud, grass, stones, countless puddles and knocked against walls and furniture! He’s taken many baths too...and still rolls on like a champ! The four wheels are nicely spaced so that the dog is easy to manoeuvre and isn’t falling over all the time like many other designs. I love that it’s made of natural materials and after 18 months of daily abuse only the paint on the edges of the wheels have worn off a little, which is totally to be expected when a toy goes on as many adventures as this one! I actually bought a second one in case this one finally gave up, but I don’t think the second one will ever actually be needed! I continue to be impressed by the durability of this wooden pull-along dog and highly recommend it!
