Cute but not the normal quality
My daughter has been collecting CC for the last 8 years (11 now) and its just our mission to collect the whole series and vintage pieces so this item was obviously on our list. We waited til it dropped in price - around $38/40 vs the + $80. I feel like anything over $30 would be a rip off. The quality is sturdy and very detailed but it does have a few annoying flaws! *The side door does not stay shut. Theres no clip or notch for it to hit so it just goes flat but opens with any movement *the drawers fall our at the slighted touch. Dont breath too hard they will probably fall out! *to open the side panel it jolts the whole trailer so anything you had in position will no longer be where you left it. And it doesn't latch close unless you force it shut. *the silver hatch piece that is to attach to the car cracked the first time we used it. We have never had a CC toy break until this set. So it does not attach properly to the car now. Its kind of the point of the whole set ????‍♀️ *speaking of breaking... half the utensils snapped in half. They are packaged in the frame mold they are made in and yourr supposed to break and twist them out... well we snip the ends with nail clipers so the ends come out smooth and not leave a pointy edge.... this is how we always remove these types of toys with no issue... until thit set. This isnt a vital part of the toy so its not the end of the world buuuuut it sucks how easily it broke off. The toy is more frustrating then anything. For myself and my daughter. It will probably end up just on our display shelf as a cute addition to our set but I would definitely never buy it again!

Too expensive for what it is but it's seriously cute
My daughter has wanted this camper for a couple years now and finally I purchased it for her 6th birthday. There is enough empty space at bottom of box to place the cherry cruiser in the bottom. That's what I did so she got it as one gift....let's face it, at full retail the cruiser should come with this thing anyway! My daughter opened it and was delighted. There was a problem though. One of the roof beds for the kid critters would not stay in. It kept falling out when we moved it up and down to close and open. My daughter didn't care and wanted to keep it but I said no way. I promptly ordered an exchange, which Amazon did overnight to me. The second one works fine. I sent the first one back. At the price of $70.00 dollars this thing should be prestine out of the box. There was no way I was going to settle for a malfunctioning piece off the bat. I got this significantly discounted too and I still refuse to accept a damage to it right out of box. It is an adorable toy. So cute and functions well overall. It attaches easily to the car. The little details are darling and as you would expect from calico critter. I find the plastic on it to be a little cheap feeling. Cheaper feeling than our little calico house. Not as cheap as mainstream toy line plastics but it is fragile compared to say, Playmobil plastic. I always end up comparing calico critter to Playmobil but I can't help it since we own a lot of both and hands down every time, Playmobils quality as far as plastic goes blows all the competition out of the park. I find calico to be a similar toy though in that it has lots of small pieces and plastic structures. Also price point wise. I find Playmobil to be cheaper but they are close. I wish international playthings would push to to take the quality up a bit since their price point is high enough that the plastics should be higher quality. They should also offer replacement pieces. Anyways, I'm starting to enter a rambling stage or start a debate with myself and that was not my intention! In summary, it's cute. Is it worth $70.00? You'll have to be the judge of that. I would not pay full price for it but if it's all someone wants and they love critters then I say pull the trigger. It is a fun toy for either a girl or boy and the car....well, it is just as fun and the two make a great gift.

Have Hours of Fun With A Calico Critters Caravan Family Camper
I recommend buying this van for children aged 4 or older. It is suitable into the tween years or for people who collect 1:12 miniatures. The van is well made with durable plastic walls and detailed accessories. Calico Critters' furniture is made of very sturdy, hard-wearing, smooth-edged plastic. Children can happily play with the van and its built-in furnishings - even without the dozens of tiny accessories. The van's many tiny pieces are not suitable for children who still put things in their mouths. To avoid loss, I keep the tiny pieces in a zip-lock bag between play times. The van can be wobbly with the top opened up for the beds but is sturdy for supervised child play. The van will hook up to the red and the green Calico Critters' cars to be used more like a real motorhome. Children will have hours of playing "let's pretend" with the van. Calico Critters are adorable animal dolls with flocked skin that usually have movable heads, arms, and legs. (Some of the babies don't.) There are adult and child dolls with clothes, toys, houses, play houses, a school, restaurants, stores, a motorcycle, furnishings, and many other accessories sold separately. There is equipment for doing cooking, laundry, gardening, camping, and playing in a nursery or on a playground. A good number of accessories accompany the buildings and some vehicles. I have bought many of the sets in the last three years. My six-year-old grandson and I have been happy with all of it. Calico Critters are called Sylvan Families outside the United States.

Adorable add-on for Calico Critters
I bought this Family Camper for Calico Critters for my granddaughter (9). It’s great, including all the add-ons, which are available for a higher price for the Camper. There are a lot of adorable features, including a pull-out kitchen, a bathroom with a toilet seat and lid that open, and pull-out bunk beds for the kids to sleep.

This car is great! I was hoping it came with the little fishing poles and items for the trunk in the picture but it was just the car. All good, my child didn’t look close enough at the box to ask! Playing happily.

Calicco critters are the best toys ! Our daughter caravan was lost in luggages after christmas so we bought it again so she never noticed that the original was lost ... thanks to amazon quick shipment we saved the christmas gift !
