Zim Zam is back!
Had this when I was a kid and played it all summer long with the neighbors! It was called Zim Zam back then and that thing was sturdy! This…not so much. However we have taken it camping several times and use it in the yard and so far it has not broken (as other reviews mention), but the string does get stuck in the coil which is annoying, and it’s not as stable in the ground as I remember our old one being. We made an extra stand out of conduit for it so it stays in the ground better. But my kids love it and it’s a great way to get those aggressions out, especially when they get good at it and can hit it back and forth every time!

Bought this for my grandkids, 5 and seven. They loved it the first time they used it. Not real sturdy but was fine for them. Set up the second time and the string broke in the middle. No problem, tried to tie a knot in it and the string was so rotten I couldn’t fix. It is a shame to have a decent product and the main component they use a cheap piece of rope and can not repair. Must make their profit from selling new string and ball.

Ball in a string!! Best fun for everyone!!!
Reminds me of the old Zim Zam game I had as a child!! Hours of fun, who can resist a ball on a string lol. Ball will need replaced in time, just as anything will. Only thing I wish, the paddles had padding on the handle part, but I managed to use foam and duct tape to do it myself.

Good times, till the ball comes off the string
This was certainly fun for about a month. Now the ball won’t stay attached to the rope. I know you can buy replacements, but I’m hesitant, if it’s only gonna last another month. The game itself brought back so many fond memories from playing it as a kiddo. It’s great for solo exercise, too!

Hours of fun and laughs!
They need to work on the connection of the rope to the spring. I have had to re attach it about 30 times in 2 months. Had to resort to using a key ring to attach it to & it slides well. Have to have pliers out all the time bc it comes off the key ring. Everything else is near perfect.

it works for us
My experience with this product is very different from other reviews. I didn't read the reviews before I bought this and was a little nervous when I went back and read them and found them less than stellar. We have been playing with this quite a bit. and it works well for us. I use it as an exercise for both my arms and my daughter and I play with it as well. I am much harder on it when i exercise with it then when my daughter and I play. (she's 9) It is light weight so i am careful when I put it in the ground and when I store it. Until you get the hang of the game (using the cork screw top) it does tend to get wrapped around the pole but that doesn't bother us. I had this game as a kid and its still as fun as it was then.

The tennis ball broke off the string on day one!
I was so excited about getting this swing ball set for my kids and a second one for my niece and nephews. The sad thing is that the ball came off the string in no time. With my kids it was day two or three, but the other came off within the first hour of set up. Super disappointing and although we rigged it several times it's still not good so we will need to find something else to make it usable. The one my brother and I had as kids was built so much better and that tennis ball never came off. We'd play for hours and hit that ball so hard. Things used to be built so much better.. and I'm talking about back in the 80s when I was young. Disappointing for sure. Buy this for kids who are maybe 8 and under... no bigger or the ball will come off in no time!

fun to play
My niece is loving this. Got it a week ago. came super quick(2 days when delivery said 5-8 days). we bring it inside every night after we are done playing with it so the dog won't attack the ball being it comes with only one ball(box said it came with extra ball but only one in box). easy enough that my 9 year old niece can put it up and play by herself. The only thing I don't like was figuring out how to tie the ball onto the clip on the spiral. it keeps coming off. the ball is getting pretty frayed after a week of playing so looking for replacement balls. but overall we are having fun with it. Not like it was when I was growing up but will do for now. hope it last longer then some of the other reviews.

Quality good but not sturdy
Was very fun and well built fast shipping . The design of the screw into the ground makes it very wobbly after playing for a short time . We had to keep re positioning it and it caused damage to the yard .

Piece of crap.
I do not recommend this product at all. Firstly It was expensive. The pole does not go into the ground far enough, so after a few hits the pole goes sideways. Tried pounding it into the ground more, didn't work. So I made my own pole and drilled the coil part onto a new pole. Then the tennis ball came flying off the end. I brought some good quality tennis balls and attached it to a new piece of rope as the rope had rotted in the sun. After 4 months of being in the sun. I guess it has been hot. Yesterday my son and I decided to try it again with the new ball and his bat broke. Piece of crap.

Very Pleased with replacement service!
Was very happy to get the game, we had enjoyed in the past, BUT the ball broke off within 2 days of limited use, VERY Disappointed, with the ball, though the stand seems OK. UPDATE :-) The Company has kindly replaced the defective ball with a new one, Plus a second replacement.! Thanks very much, much appreciated
