This bottom layer item worked ok.

I found these to be long, quite long. I'm fairly tall and these were even "taller". I have also found them to be slightly itchy. I kept one pair and am wearing it periodically. They were fairly warm.

Best money spent in a while!

I work a trick-or-treating event every October at our local zoo as a character actor; so, standing in the elements for 5 hrs, 4 days a week that month. In KY, the month will start out warm, but it’s not uncommon for temps to dip into the 30s by the end of the run. Tried these pants and the shirt equivalent, and they were 110% worth the money!! I layered them beneath costumes, so only got to wear a couple light layers on top of them, and while I was still on the chilled side, I was still comfortable and never felt the need to go inside to warm up. Because of the smell when I first got them, I washed them in cold water and hung to dry when I first got them; would recommend NOT putting them in the dryer unless you’re on the short side and need to shorten the legs. On that note: I’m 5’9” and about 160 lbs. with long legs/arms and a long torso. I loved that the legs were more than long enough to go down over my ankles and that the waist came up just above my belly button (also: I’ve got a thicker butt and hips/thighs, so a woman with less bulk or shorter torso may find the waist landing higher on her). For what I needed (to layer beneath different costumes ranging from Wonder Woman to Princess Leia), these were absolutely perfect, and I told all the other actors to get them!

Love this!

Purchased this and top for fishing trip this spring. Worked great!! Did not get cold it was 47 degrees and we were on boat for almost 8 hours. Would purchase again.

Very comfortable fabric- loose fitting thermals that run big

Fabric is delightfully soft, warm and comfortable but the fit is loose so wearing as a base layer with tighter pants will be difficult. The size large has a waist panel that's 11-1/2" tall so people with a short torso will have oodles of extra fabric (past your belly button!). They have a very generous crotch panel so movement is not restricted there but the 35" inseam (crotch to bottom hem of legs) will give most women about 6" of extra length in the legs...easily flipped up since there is no elastic at the end of the legs. I highly recommend for bigger and taller than average women. For the rest of you order at least one size smaller and know that you'll probably have to flip up the legs or hem them.

Love, love, love these long-johns!!! Granted, I don't live in snow, so I can't give them that kind of test, but I'm a SoCal lizard... I get cold really easily. I got these to use as a base-layer for events where I'm outside 8PM-4AM, and it's been down to under 40 degrees, but my legs have stayed comfortable. These go on skin-close, but not super snug/tight, and loosen/sag a little bit over the course of several hours' wear; for the reference point, I take a 20-22 in pants/jeans at present. For those cold nights outside, I add a pair of loose jersey pants and then a long jersey skirt over all. I will say that the waistband is a bit sharp-edged, but I typically tuck an undershirt inside them, which eliminates the problem. Otherwise, they're fabulously comfortable, non-binding, soft, and cozy. They're long in the rise, so expect the band to sit at or above your natural waist; that's a plus to me!!

Works well at 30 degrees for hunting.

These will shrink. I wear a 12 to 14 and am . pear shaped. I baught the XXL based on other reviews and my natural hip size. I washed and dried and they went from severely oversized to just right. Now saying that, I bought these for hunting, so I didnt want skin tight. I wanted loose enough to move but close enough to fit under pants. I was not disappointed. I went out after shrinking them and it got into the low 30's easily. My legs were nice and warm (wish i could say the same for my waist up. The only con is theydo have a bigger belly. I noticed they are a little baggy for the middle, even being pear shaped. That said, I do not find this a major downside as I wanted them to be a little looser and I am not wearing them to make a fashion statement.

Comfy Cozy

I work between an unheated dock and office. I'm probably never outside more than 30 minutes at any given time. These kept me warm during the extreme temperature fluctuations in Indiana. I love the double layer, and they're worn under Docker type of casual dress slacks. As far as sizing I'm a plus size 20, 5'7" I bought an XXL, they fit great and were long enough. They did stretch out a bit after wearing. I would defiantly buy them again. If your not very active outside, standing or sitting for long periods you would want an outer layer if the temps dipped into the single digits or below.

I like extra room and all but you have to be ...

I ordered and XXL and in normal world a XXL would be a bit too small for me. Unfortunately, I am short 5' 1" but large (size 20) person and I can't believe I found a product that is absolutely huge on me. I like extra room and all but you have to be giant in height and weight to fill out this out. I will qualify in saying that the product does state wash before wearing. I have yet to do this because I wanted to try it on (unwashed) in case I have to return it. I will keep it because I will be going on a vacation next week and it's all about being outside. I can not attest to its warmth yet because I have yet to test it in cold weather but will next week!

Definitely warm and bottoms are non constrictive to lower legs.

Bought them for my elderly mother who is always cold and has swelling of her lower legs. She loves them because they are very Definitely warm and the bottoms are non constricting to her lower legs.
