Works!

I was skeptical about this, but our vet recommended it when we brought a 6yr old to our family of 1yr old kittens (yes 2 of them are still kittens). Honestly, compared to their first encounter, this was the greatest progress and I think this item influenced their closeness. There was less fighting and hissing when we bought 2 or 3 of them and placed them around the house. Also, one of the kittens has stopped peeing around the house and actually goes to his litter box after using this plug-in. I give it a 4.5 star because you also want to encounter the fact that I've had this for 1 month (yes it does last that long) and time could've also helped my cats bond together.

Ronald Stopped Peeing Everywhere!!

Ronald Weasley started peeing everywhere after a long stretch of NOT peeing and nearly dying from a UTI. The vet suggested he was stressed, because he senses my anxiety and signals before an attack. After his surgery to reopen his pee pee and get stuff flowing again, he started to not like the 4 litter boxes we have for him and his brother, Harry James Potter. I plugged this in the fronchroom and he stopped peeing in there. Then, he started blessing the Dining Room. I plugged one in there, too. Now he gave up and decided his litter boxes are worthy and is so relaxed he wants me to get a human version so we can both chill the eff out. I wish the refills were available on subscribe and save, but it is worth the hassle of reordering if I don't have to shampoo the carpets every other day.

Very strong sent initially

For the first 2 days or so there was a VERY strong smell. It didn't smell AWFUL, it was very powerful and kind of perfum-ish (still not a great smell though!!) I could smell it from every room in my apartment (it's not a huge apartment but it does have multiple rooms and it was in my living room and I started to smell it in my kitchen and had no idea where it was coming from, until I realized. My cats are extremely sensitive to smells so I was concerned. It did subside and has not smelled since. I know why it smelled, as it was warming up etc, but I've used another brand in the past and have NEVER had a smell, other than a slight smell that I can't explain that is not at all perfum-y but if you've used pheromones' before you likely know what I'm talking about. It does what it should do, it has helped with my 2 cats fighting over territory as they are preening one another more often and sleeping next to one another more often now. Would purchase again.

This helped calm a stray pregnant cat

This was recommended by our vet to help with a pregnant stray cat we had to trap. We live in the country and brought her in so her and the babies woukd be safe. It's definitely helped keep her calm, both before and after birth. It's takes time to work so we used the calming spray with it in the beginning. Momma and all 5 babies are safe and doing great at 3.5 weeks old.

No light is a bonus

I've tried many brands, this one I like for no light being on and ease of plugging something in underneath. Still giving it a shot but with 3 cats and one territorial one with anxiety anything is worth it. Also glad I can buy in bulk and not as expensive as others.

Not sure how well it works

Our cat is very skittish and timid when people come over. We had family along with their dog stay over for the holidays. They used to live nearby and we have occasionally watched their dog while they are on vacation. Our cat has always hid in my bedroom when we have company. She still did. She wouldn't come out of my room the entire time they were here. (Her litter box, food and water were in my room.) So no change there. However, she wasn't quite so timid when family would come into my room. She still wouldn't let any of them touch her, but she didn't run away and hide. That's an improvement. So it may have helped some.

works okay, but new design is MESSY!

Be prepared to clean the wall above and the floor/surface below these diffusers! I bought two more diffusers (new design) because we added a kitten to our home of grumpy older cats and wanted to ease tensions. It works well like the Comfort Zone diffusers we've had for years (takes the edge of but doesn't sedate), but these new diffusers are super messy! The one at the end of the kitchen counter has nothing above it except the small lip of the counter, but the diffuser sputtered and left an oily mess on top of the counter, dripping down the cabinet and onto the tile floor (which is now slippery). The one in the bedroom is on the only wall that doesn't have furniture, but it has a wall hanging (and is under the A/C vent). There is an oily streak from the decor down to the diffuser, as well as a small puddle on the wood floor below. There is a noticeable oily aroma from this diffuser. I suggest buying the old style diffuser ... if you can find it.

Careful if you are using this outside U.S.

There was a burning smell within 10 mins of plugging so had to disconnect. The diffuser and wick were burnt. This happened because this product is not designed for Australia due to the electric voltage. Have to use some converter to step-down to 110v. I should have checked before ordering. If you are ordering this outside the U.S. please take this into consideration. There was no review that mentioned this. Luckily I had already received the refund due to delay in shipment. I am therefore unable to confirm if this product works as expected on my cats. I will be ordering Feliway locally which is actually not really for multi-cat conflict but it will have to do for now.

Really works!

I was skeptical at first but it truly works! I brought a new kitten home and wanted the transition to move smoothly. It was hard at first, but once I installed this in our room I noticed both cats interacting friendlier and coming to cuddle together on our bed! They're besties now and I loved how this helped them calm down to avoid accidents and violence. Plus I didn't even smell it!

Not Worth The Money

This thing did nothing for my cats and was pretty expensive ($44.14 CAD). Also if you were near it you could smell this burning smell. I used it for about 2 weeks but that burning smell made me stop.
