Only for those with THIN wrists and forearms

A friend of mine and I both acquired a pair of these as we start to learn to box. She has smaller hands and slender wrists so these fit her quite well. I on the other hand have 7.5" wrists and it was almost impossible to fasten these around my wrists because the leather was so far apart. Someone else had to fasten my second hand for me, and even then some of the rough velcro ended up against my bare inner arm skin, which by the end of practice was rather raw. These are also quite hard. I took an accidental very light blow to the nose (we werent supposed to be connecting with each other) and ended up with a bloody and bruised nose. So... if you are hitting mitts or shadow boxing and have smaller wrists than I... go for it. But for me it was necessary to upgrade to a better glove and something softer with sparring in my future.

Poor construction and customer service

These gloves were not cheap ($49.99) and after 13 months, they are coming apart at the seams. Boxing gloves should be durable and last a lifetime. I don't box professionally and I only do bag work...and I'm a woman, so the fact that they are falling apart is pathetic. Add to that the fact that I contacted the seller to see if I could get a replacement pair of gloves. The response was not helpful (or personable). There is only a 4 month return policy.

I have had several Contender gloves in the past and the quality is not there in these gloved, One of the gloved felt smaller as well.

I love these!!!

Great glove. I’ve been using these gloves for close to a year now. The glove is still pretty solid, which means it still feels like 18oz. After a while they start feeling lighter. Due to workout routine, the inside is ripped a bit but that’s normal. I hit the bag every other day and spar and I’m 225. I definitely recommend
