It's good, but does have one flaw

I like the wide, stable base. It's best used over a large stove top burner or it will take longer to boil. The instructions claim you have to dry it after every use. I have not done this because of the hassle factor. The inside has stayed bright and shiny over the past 2-3 months I have owned this kettle. I suppose it may depend on your water qualities? The downside, is that the insulation on the handle and on the top lever is chincy, almost like a second thought. Great kettle, lousy handle insulation. One of the most obvious things that are wrong is the small insulation cover on the top lever. It does not stay on and keeps sliding back. I am thinking about using some good quality silicone sealant to keep it in place. The main handle insulation is too short. It took me a couple of hand burns to make sure I keep my hand back further than it feels comfortable or use some insulating cloth around the handle. If the black sheath were another 1/2" longer I suspect the problem would be solved. I would prefer a kettle that whistles louder than this one. If I am in the same room, no problem, but if I go into the next room it is too quiet for my ears so always take a kitchen timer with me to remind me that the kettle is on. This is an excellent product, except for some issues with the handle insulation and a slightly louder whistle would be nice.

Great value for the money.

I have never owned a tea kettle before. I decided that we were going to have a healthy hot tea before bed this winter. I love this kettle. Sturdy, stylish and sounds so cool when it’s ready. Quick heat up. Easy wipe down just a great value.

Heavey and Noisy

The kettle is very heavy, which it should not be, and when you put on the fire setting it makes lots of noise. Also, it has a whistle function which may be good, HOWEVER there is no way to adjust it so that you don't hear the whistle, if you don't want to. Have owned many such kettles but never one that forces you to absorb whistling and is so heavy.

STAINLESS STEEL DOESN'T RUST!

MAYBE some customers had defects and problems with rust, but I don't understand how BECAUSE IT'S STAINLESS STEEL! What some customers might be referring to is a rainbow-like stain with stainless steel, which you can easily clean with baking-soda or vinegar. Google how to clean stainless steel in this event. Anyhow... Against recommendation, I leave the water in the tea kettle over-night because my wife and I drink a lot of tea, and I don't want to waste any water. After 3 weeks of doing this, still no (rust) problems. $29.99 on Amazon Prime. I'm fairly certain that the same tea kettle gets OEM'd under a couple different brand names, which is something to consider before purchasing (that's how I found this same tea kettle at a more competitive price). 5/5, great buy, very satisfied customer right here.

Nice styling and size BUT

but the rubber guards on the trigger and handle slide down when the pot is hot. and it is easy to get burned if you're not careful.

Love this kettle!

Not sure why others had problems with theirs but I’ve been really happy with mine. I bought it because it had certain features I was looking for. I was hesitant to pay more for it when I purchased there weren’t many reviews yet. It’s exactly what I was looking for. The only tiny issue I have is getting the lid off after you’ve heated water, it fits really snug and it’s too hot without protection but I rarely need a second kettle so it doesn’t bother me.

Love the product but lack of quality.

Pro: Love the design and functionality. Con: After two weeks of using, rust started to build up around the cover and find it's way into the boiling water. Rendering this kettle useless.

Easy to fill , does not scold you when pouring, good balance, easy to keep clean.
