So authentic looking

I purchased this for my son to wear on a trip to Mexico. It was perfect! It looks great on and gives you the perfect Mexico vibes. He fit in nicely and looked like a local.

Very nice semiformal dress shirt for any occasion and fit as expected. He felt it was a little long on torso... Ehh.. It fit perfect!

Looks great -- too bad it's too small to wear.

The shirt seems well-assembled. Smells a little funny out of the package because it's a polyesther/rayon blend. I wish I could say it looks great on me--but it buttons extremely tight. I generally wear an XL for button-downs, but this one left the buttons straining, eager to break free and embarrass me. Looks like I have a few hundred situps to do before I can wear it. Bummer.

Decent guayabera, great for hot weather

I like guayaberas - they're elegant, and they are cool - which is why you will note they are the "businessman's suit" in really scorching places like Mérida, Yucatán, and Cuba, where they originated. Ironically, I bought this one to take to Cuba - U S residents are not allowed to legally bring back clothing made in Cuba (only artworks, books and media, etc.) nor cigars or liquor. Not only was it comfortable, I was complimented on this shirt by Cubans! Basically, a decently made shirt.

High quality material and embroidery

This is my second cubavera guayabera. My first was purchased directly. I am medium in just about everything but I am size small in these so order down or measure yourself. The material is high quality and thick but extremely breathable which is why they are the choice for tropical weather. However, this particular shirt material is itchy...really itchy. You can only wear it with an undershirt. The embroidery and detail is elegant. I would definitely look into one of these.

Uncomfortable fabric blend

I have never worn a shirt made with the blend used in this shirt. At first, I thought I was wearing wool, it was so scratchy. I washed it first thing and it shrank in length about 3/4" which was fine by me as I am short and the length for a M was just a little too long. I followed the washing instructions exactly...use cold water and hang dry. This stuff does not dry wrinkle free. I had to get my iron out and flatten out the many wrinkles left over from the washing. The "scratchiness was still there after the first washing and I am hoping that it goes away completely after several washings. The fit was as expected for the shoulders and width. For the price I cannot complain, but definitely will be buying only traditional cotton or linen from now on.

This guayabera is so good, I decided to buy another one of the same color. (Orchid pedal). The picture does not do it justice to it's good looks. This particular color is the least expensive color, I do not know why the difference in price for each color, but, "Orchid Pedal" just happens to be my favorite. The quality of this shirt is surprisingly high, and an excellent buy, and an excellent shirt. All in all, A quality guayabera (and that is what this one is) is a shirt fancy enough but casual enough to take almost anywhere.

Quality Shirt

If you buy a Cubavera guayabera and want quality make sure you buy one made of natural linen like this one. This linen shirt is the first Cubavera shirt I bought that I thought was quality material. Oddly enough, Cubavera shirts are made in China not Latin or South America as you would expect and they are tighter fit like shirts from China used to be. Be sure to order a larger size than you normally buy.

Fit perfectly

I bought this for my partner. My son got married on the beach in Mocambo. Guayaberas are normal substitutions for formal wear in Mexico, with the heat. Even the Presidente and his attendants wear them. I also bought one for my adult grandson. That one also fit as expected. They travel well...no wrinkling. They're easy to wash out in the hotel sink, and they dry rapidly.

Nice shirt

I bought this as a gift for my Dad. He used to wear these until they became very difficult to find. So when I saw this on amazon I got it as a surprise gift and he was very happy with the shirt. He said it fit very well and he liked the style which was exactly as he remembered. Good buy at the the price.

Fabric is not soft

I love the shirt, however, my son is quite sensitive to different fabrics and feels that this is uncomfortable. It may be that he just isnt used to it, but it is not a soft fabric.

Fit as normal & expected at first then shrunk. Ended up giving away to charity.
