Seems like several complain about the yellow wire being too short. I read the directions and when you install it INSIDE the car like it tells you everything works fine. I had zero problems and didnt have to extend any wires.

Ease of install

Buy the one with the plugs. You will be much happier. The only problem I had, was the wire to the left side was too short. Had to add about a foot to it. Works well.

Good Product Recommended

Replaced my class 1 factory bumper option with the Curtis Class 3. My Rav4 is quieter it seems it stiffened up the rear of the Unibody. No more door clanging jars when hitting bumps. I tow a TS 5x8 2000lbs max trailer. I needed it for a move 100 miles away. All good just needed to add a wiring harness for the trailer.

Yellow Wire is Too Short, Instructions are Wrong for USA model Toyota RAV$ 199-2000

As others have mentioned, the yellow wire for the Driver's side tail light assembly is 12 inches too short. If you aren't prepared to splice in the additional length of wire, this isn't going to work as is. Also the instructions in the package are in error. Disappointing. I mounted the contol box in the passenger side compartment, so now I will get a wiring extender to reach the trailer wiring. Not a direct fit.

Trailer lights

It is the easiest way to wire trailer lights to any vehicle. The shipping was fast the part was right. I was very happy. Could have had better instructions

Easy to install.

The Curt website was food to confirm the fit for the wiring. After a few trim panels and seat belt anchors removed, the wiring was plug and play.
