Indien uw voertuig niet voorzien is van bekabeling voor het trekken van een aanhanger, is CURT maatwerkbekabeling de ideale oplossing. Een op maat gemaakte kabelboom - ook wel een T-connector genoemd - is een eenvoudig, plug-and-play elektrisch apparaat dat wordt aangesloten op het elektrische systeem van uw auto en zorgt voor een standaard, universele aansluiting voor de bedrading van de aanhangwagen. Dit wordt gedaan met behulp van twee of meer voertuigspecifieke, OEM-compatibele connectoren die in het achterlicht worden gestoken, waardoor knippen, splitsen en solderen tijdens de installatie niet meer nodig is. Low quality

The connector was crushed when I got it. This was the second time I've installed a curt trailer wiring harness for two different cars. Quality of materials seems lower than my first harness. Easy to install but a hassle without a lift for the cx5 because of all the paneling.

wired, baby!

This is a decent kit with an isolator to keep vehicle's electrical system unaffected by wiring problems that originate with your trailer. The two sided tape affixed to the back of the isolator/ control unit was as dry and useless as tits on a mule, so you'll have most likely to figure another way to secure it to one of your interior panels. Also take note that when you secure your two thick wires together that one is 14 ga. and the other 12, and the butt connector provided, being a 10/12 might have to get a little extra crimping on the 14 side. Well made and my Mazda Dealership installed it and complimented me on this harness!

I had my Mazda dealer handle installation of this and a Curt 2" receiver on a new 2021 CX-5 Signature I just purchased. I'm familiar with Curt products as I've owned them before and every one was well made. The tech who installed this said it was a great choice and he said the installation went very easy and logically as well. The Tech and I discussed any shortcuts to the install and he emphasized not to take a shortcut and splice to the hot wire to the rear 12V cigarette receptacle as does Curt NOT want you to do this per the installation instructions. The hot wire should go to the battery location under the hood. My Utility Trailer uses all regular bulbs rather than low power LEDs and the Tech said it is safer and more reliable to hot wire to the battery due to the higher demand on that circuit branch. Given I might use that rear cirgarette lighter location for other accessories, that all makes sense. Maybe I'll convert my trailer to all LEDs at some point. Both the Service Advisor and the Tech warned me not to take any shortcuts and they wanted to adhere to Curt's Installation instructions for this harness, including the black hot wire that has to run to the front of the vehicle. It was, -By the Book, period!- There is plenty length for the harness connection and everything is stored in the rear wheel-well where the spare tire is located. No complaints and when a Mazda tech says a product is great and the install of it was the same, that's good enough for me! 5 Stars all around and no complaints at all.

Doubleback tape

The doubleback tape was useless, had no adhesion, past shelf life. Kit install pretty straight forward.

Install by watching the video. There's one tricky part.

This adapter is well made and overall pretty easy to install. Of course running the power wire from the battery is a pain, but it can be done without a lift. I was able to squeeze under the car and zip tie the power wire to the existing support and then put the plate that protects that area back on. I used the Uhaul video and it walks you through the entire install in great detail. They use an upgraded battery cable but it's pretty self explanatory how to use the one that comes in this kit. I was able to install this in about an hour. I leave it inside the car under the trunk mat and just run it out and hook it up and then close the trunk over the wires when in use. You can also mount it outside the car, but then you'll need to worry about keeping the connection clean. As little as we use it I'd rather keep it out of the elements until needed. The trunk does not damage the wires when closed.

Easy to install for a total newbie with no special tools!

It took me a day (I have an infant so everything takes me much longer than it should) but it works and I figured all of it out myself!

Easy install

Easy install, but I tapped positive into the power lead for the accessory socket in my cargo area. More than enough amps on that fuse in my car to handle the lights, and I installed the inline fuse as a backup. Didn't feel like running a power lead under the car and didn't need to. Works perfectly. Extra length sits in my spare tire area and I just close the hatch over the wire when not using it. I only use it a few times a year anyway so no sense running it through the floor.

Good product, fits the vehicle, but not so easy to install. You have to partially remove some cover panels from trunk and run a + wire from battery, under the vehicle into the trunk.
