Worked well to replace peephole

Meh...listing was misleading.

I'm a scientist...so I take the whole "measure twice/cut once" thing to a ridiculous level. I measured my door every which way as was/is possible. This didn't fit my door. Oh, the diameter was fine...but the thickness of my door was a smidge (scientific term - don't question it) too much. The problem was, the threads of the device don't extend the full length of the eyepiece. Yeah, I could have made it fit...could have drilled a little groove in the door; but seriously, it should have worked. Anyway, I found a better one with a "lid" on it that prevents backward "peeping" and that one fits just fine. Just wish these manufacturers added a little more give to the give/take estimate. Really...how much harder would it be on a machine to cut the threads a little further? You know...like the full length of the tube? Gave it 2 stars because I'm sure it worked on other people's doors just fine.
