Good looking and sturdy TP holder

Best toilet paper holder we’ve owned. Easyiest-ever to replace paper with no loose roller to fall off. Only minor issue is that paper doesn’t roll on a traditional smooth roller but rather drags a little on a non-rotating bar. I kind of like it since paper doesn’t get away from you and unroll too quickly.

Ok value. Similar to other reviews—finish already scratched.

I’m trying not to get picky because this is just a toilet paper holder… but the finish scratched off in one spot and it doesn’t close well. I’ll keep it because it matches my Delta faucets. But for being a relatively expensive piece that just holds toilet paper, I’m not super impressed.

A Better Toilet Paper Holder!

If you are still chasing the parts of your toilet paper holder when it slips from your hands & the parts are going in 3 directions; STOP! Replace that nightmare with a pivoting toilet paper holder! This one went into our second bathroom. A template is included for proper installation. We wanted to match the other gold tone accessories in the bath, so we picked this model. I gave it 4 stars due to the design, thaw toilet paper has to go over the round end. We had no problem with the rolls fitting over it, it just seems clunky! But a little clunky is so much better than chasing the spring!

Over the years, I have installed multiple toilet paper holders that have set screws. The set screws always had a slot (called a 'blade-type' slot) for a common regular screwdriver, albeit a screwdriver with a very thin head. This was the first time I installed a toilet paper holder that required an Allen wrench because the set screw opening could only be tightened with the Allen wrench. With a simple slot head, the set screw was always a breeze to tighten. I found it to be a rather difficult to contort myself to tighten the set screw when it was on the wall. In addition, the enclosed instructions only include recommendations for installation into sheetrock with or without wall studs. How about include instructions for installation into ceramic tile??

Watch the Installation when attaching into Wood

I do not have an issue with the Toilet Paper Holder itself and it looks really great installed. My issue is the instructions that are provided for attaching to a wood base state to use a 1/16" drill bit to drill the insertion hole through the wood. I was very careful with drilling that 1/16" bit into the wood vanity that I have but got the first hole drilled. Then the screw would not go in very far without a lot of force. I was afraid I would strip the screwhead so i tried a bigger diameter screw bit. That did not work either. I tried a 3rd size drill bit and that did not work much better but the screw went in further and then I finally did strip out the screwhead. After spending a lot of time to finally get the screw out of the vanity I ended up going to buy some really good wood screws for the task and finally got the thing installed. Again, I think the instructions are terrible and the screws very suspect for a really good piece of wood. May be fine for soft wood wall studs?
