Loose fitting

I bought 2 pairs of these shorts in the same size this lighter color and a darker color. The darker color fit just right and this lighter pair ran so much bigger than the other. Not sure if the sizes were mislabeled. Quality material!

nice length

These shorts are cute. They are a nice length not too short or too long. The waist has a nice stretch band to them.

Very comfortable

Loved these shorts. I thought they ran a little big so I sent them back for a smaller size. The new ones were perfect. I really like the shorts.

Too pricey

Fits well but too pricey for what it is. Department stores have similar for less.

Flattering & sexy!

am 5'10" and 170 lbs with a little tummy Id like to lose. Picture a trim body that's 3 months pregnant and you get the picture. I'm usually a size 10 or 12; I bought a size 12 and it's about right. If I went down a size then the waist would be too tight (typical for me) and I don't want a muffin top. These shorts are flattering. They stretch out AND back in, which is crucial--who wants a saggy looking bum? They pull in my tummy pretty well but i still wouldn't tuck my shirt in.

Love the Democracy Ab Solution denim products

I already have the Democracy Ab Solution jeans and the ankle skimmer jeans and decided to try the shorts. As with the jeans, they are super soft and stretchy- so comfortable. They have a zipper and a button, but because of stretchy fabric plus the elastic behind the waist band, I don't even have to unbutton or unzip them to take them off. Unlike the skinny jeans, these shorts run just a little big for me. Machine wash and tumble dry - no need to iron if you take them out of a hot dryer and hang them up. My only complaint is that the legs are big. They seem bigger than a straight let pair of jeans would be. I like them to fit my legs like the skinny jeans do. The picture looks like they would, but they don't. So they are not as flattering to wear.

Not flattering on postpartum body

I am of short/average height (5’3”), but these seem long on me. They also kind of accentuate your midsection and make you look bigger than you are. Not a fan. They are fairly comfortable though.

Not bad.

I love the Democracy brand, and was excited to get a good pair of shorts. These fit around the butt and waist fine, but when i rolled up the cuffs (as shown in the photo for that style) they got more than a little snug around my thighs. I do know they stretch with time and wear, so it's not like I won't get used to them, but considering I ordered the same size I always have, it's a little frustrating. Still, good condition, good color and if they're like my other items, they'll last a good while.

Great Colour and Fit

I love the fit and colour of these shorts. They are figure fitting and very complimentary to the shape of my body. I ordered more Democracy shorts and now have a great summer wardrobe.

Best shorts I own

Hands down the best shorts I own. They are the perfect colour, length and size. I bought sz 16, I'm 210 and 5ft. 4.5in tall. They have stretch in all the right places and a nice thick waist band. Highly recommend!

These have been a staple all summer

These are my favourites. Fit a touch on the big side on the waist i find bc of the stretch. However they were nicely snug everywhere else and a flattering fit for my 30-something Mom butt. Perfect length (for ref i’m 5ft 9) - they hit about mid-thigh, short enough without any accidental butt cheek when you bend down. Bonus.
