Damaged both times

It is beautiful piece. Though it could have better finishing for intricate details like horse face. came damaged first time, so i ordered replacement. Strange thing is that replacement was damaged from same place as well.

Beautiful Ivory Reproduction of Yore

This is a beautiful sculpture, duplicating Ivory, that beckons back to palatial art you'd see in a museum or a wealthy estate. It is beautiful to gaze upon and admire. It has a matching base in the same material. It is very classy, not gaudy or over wrought like some attempts. Reminds me of beautiful asian carvings I have seen. Their technique of combining bone with resin is spot on.

I love it!

I really love this sculpture as I am a huge Tolkien fan. It is highly reminiscent of Arwen's spell to summon the water elementals of the Misty Mountains waters to block the ringwraiths from their pursuit in the Lord of the Rings. The tusk has a very convincing weight and feels just right for a reproduction ivory tome. The stand is much heavier, and is simple in design, so as not to detract from the main showpiece. The detail on the horses isn't particularly intricate, but it does have a sufficiently convincing artistry to it which makes it very appealing to examine, hold and take pride of place on a shelf or mantlepiece. I am thrilled with it as I rarely see things like this, so I was really pleased to have the opportunity to acquire it and add it to my collection of mythological artifacts. I have added a couple of photos to show the horses, but please forgive my terrible photography.

Design Toscana Galloping Horses Sculpture

This is a stunning sculpture, which comes in two pieces. Firstly, there is the - quite heavy - plinth/stand at the bottom. Then you have the sculpture itself, which sits on top. Obviously, this is a reproduction as ivory has been banned for a long time. That said, this is a wonderful reproduction which looks extremely detailed - there are, in total, eight horses galloping across this and it is certainly a talking point. It is worth mentioning that the detail is on both sides, so this looks great from both the front and back. A very attractive, and striking, sculpture.
