Old School Magneto!

I am one of those guys who collects figures. I own several different brands of these high quality, extremely detailed figures soooooo I know what I'm talking about, you can trust me. Marvel Select, or Diamond Select, is an awesome brand of figures, that are not only high quality, but also affordable. (in comparison to other companies such as Figma, Revoltech, SH Figuarts, etc) This is a review for Marvel Select's Magneto. He is my favorite character in X-men. I always like the villains more than the heroes... (I'm not the only one right?) This is the old school Magneto from when I was a little boy. Clad in this signature red and purple suit, flowing cape, and even his awesome helmet. The helmet isn't removable, and there is a variate figure of Magneto without his Helmet where you can see his white hair. If you as me, they should have included both heads and made them swappable, just like Cyclopes comes with one head with a visor and one with glasses. I wish his cape was removable because it sometime gets in the way of his arms, however so do his muscles... removable muscles? no.... He comes with an amazing stand that depicts some rubble of the demolished Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. There's even an arm or a fallen X-men Collosus. Nice touch, Marvel Select, nice touch. If you collect Marvel Figures of X-men figures, you cannot be with out this one. the greatest villain of all time Master of Magnetism, Magneto.

Great Value

Great sculpt, solid articulation, and good detail. I was kinda worried about the face, but the paint application is really well done. The base that it comes with might be my favorite part.

Good figure, not perfect.

Both the figure and the stand are good quality and very nice. I only have two problems with this figure, #1 being that Magneto's face looks a little bit weird, #2 they only put 1 peg to hold Magneto's feet on the stand, when both of Magneto's feet have peg holes on the bottom of them. This means the statue isn't perfectly secure and still moves around a bit when on the stand... so I'll probably have to super glue the other foot to the stand which I don't want to do. I wanted to update my review. It has been a few months since I purchased this figure, and just like I thought it would happen, due to there being only one cylinder peg for one of the figure's feet, instead of two cylinders for each feet, the statue is refusing to stand upright on it's base and keeps falling down. This means I am going to have to super glue the figure to the base in for it to keep standing upright. This is a really bad design flaw in my opinion. The figure itself has holes for a cylinder peg in both feet, so I don't understand why they only included one cylinder peg for one foot on the base.

So I have this common feedback for all Marvel Select figures (wrote a similar review for the Deadpool) - Excellent figures and articulation. Not too many accessories, just the right amount. Would've loved a couple of variant heads to be included though. - The stand that I received looks different from the one shown here but still pretty good. - The stand has only one protrusion that the figure can be snapped onto - while this is alright, finding the right balance to make Magneto stand was painstaking. Same applies to the Deadpool figure in the same line.

He looks very ominous, and his style and stance truly bring Magneto to life. His cape does limit his arms and his legs are a little stiff, but on the whole very nice piece to have in my collection.

Good figure.

Really nice figure but the head is a little undersized. If you collect Marvel Selects though or want a Magneto action figure this is the easiest one to get as the Toybiz Marvel legends version is quite expensive.

Natural Badass.

The whole figure is AMAZINGLY sculpted. The base is unbelievable. The paint apps are pretty straight amazing. Only his expression makes him seem a bit constipated.!
