Een nieuw leer voor een oude klassieker: dit is onze iconische dameslaars met 8 veterogen van zacht, soepel nappaleer. Gecombineerd met een robuuste maar verfijnde zool biedt de laars ongeëvenaard comfort in combinatie met een edgy stijl. Dr. Martens is het spul van legendes. Het begon allemaal in 1945 in de buurt van München, Duitsland, toen Dr. Klaus Maertens zijn voet blesseerde bij een ski-ongeluk in de Beierse Alpen. Om het lopen tijdens het genezingsproces te vergemakkelijken, ontwierp hij een schoen met een luchtkussenzool. Met behulp van oude rubberen banden construeerde hij zolen waarin lucht in gesloten compartimenten zat. Hij liet zijn prototype zien aan zijn bevriende ingenieur/uitvinder, Dr. Herbert Funck, en samen besloten ze de schoenen te ontwikkelen en te produceren. De schoen loste niet alleen het directe probleem van de dokter op, maar begon ook goed te verkopen in Duitsland. In 1959 besloten de twee dat ze een bedrijf nodig hadden om de schoenen te produceren en te distribueren, toen genaamd Dr. Maertens, in andere delen van de wereld. Aanvankelijk verwierpen veel fabrikanten het concept van een zool met luchtkussen als een kortstondige gimmick. De R. Griggs Group, gevestigd in het dorp Wollaston in Engeland, besloot echter in te stemmen met het idee door de eerste werklaars met de revolutionaire zool te creëren. Op 1 april 1960 werd de eerste kersenrode werklaars met acht veterogen geproduceerd en kreeg de naam 1460. Om de merknaam beter in Engeland te verkopen, werd de naam verengelst tot Dr. Martens. Het assortiment kreeg de merknaam AirWair en de rest is geschiedenis.

Sizing was a bit small.

Update: The size 8 fit better for my daughter who is a 7 1/2. It is just slightly longer than we wanted but the width is just perfect for her feet. Original Review: Upon putting on one of the shoes, my daughter said it felt tight (narrow). We did not even try on the other shoe. We ordered the size 7 as per the sizing chart. The length was just right although could have used some more room. Because of this we requested a return and ordered a size 8 for her. Hopefully, the size 8 would be a better fit and not be too big. She was initially so excited getting this but got disappointed finding that it was small especially after waiting days for it to arrive.

Reviews said they were true to size…I wear 6.5-7 in women’s usually, ordered a 7 cause they don’t do half sizes. Most people size up when they don’t have half size options. I wouldn’t really say they’re too big, they aren’t necessarily loose and don’t slip off or down when I walk, it’s just that the toe box feels very very big, while everything else feels the right size. Some places online say to size down if you’re a half size. Some say size up. I truly cannot tell if these are too big, or if I look like I’m wearing clown shoes or not. Nevertheless, I hate returning things and they’re not uncomfortable or unwearable, so I think I’ll hang on to them. Maybe I’ll get used to the size, I just hope it doesn’t become too big when they’re broken in. (Side note, for everyone complaining they’re fake cause they’re made in China, I’m begging you to just take 30 seconds and google. They manufacture from China in addition to the UK and Thailand. This store is the Dr martens store. The description says imported origin. It’s your fault at this point lol. If you don’t properly review what you’re buying and end up with an actual fake product, that’s still on you. Be a smarter shopper lmao)

Great Boots!

Bought these for my daughter and she loves them. She's normally size 7.5 and the 7 fit perfectly. Minimal breaking in and she says they were super comfortable after only wearing them a couple times.

I dislike them because they are too small fir U.S.standard and narrow.

Durable

These shoes are amazing. They are extremely durable. I am a bartender so I need something to stand in for long periods of time. They withstand all the bar spillage and working on my feet for 12+ hrs. Highly recommend.

Good shoes

This makes my fifth pair of Docs, and second pair of 1460s. These shoes fit tighter than other pairs of 5UKs I have ordered, though they do feel like they are loosening up a bit with wear even in just one day. I don't think they're going to be too large with wear. Like my other 1460s, these also dig in the area above my heel / behind the ankle which can be a bit painful when worn for extended periods of time or without a heel pad. The black color of these boots is very nice, and the yellow stitching looks as expected (not cheaply done). These did not come with extra laces, though to be fair I don't remember receiving extra laces with any of my previous Docs (even when ordered from the official Dr Marten's website). This particular pair were made in Vietnam, and I have seen a few of the other reviews insinuate that these must be fakes since they are not made in England. Regular ol' Dr Martens have not been made in England since about 2003, and are now often made in China, Thailand, or Vietnam. (There is a special line of Made in England docs that will run you double the cost of these!) I am confident the pair I received are not fakes.

Comfy af

These are the perfect everyday boots. Much more comfortable than I expected, usually leather boots need to be “worked in” but not these. The sizing is spot on (I am size7) and if you’re like me and need a wider toe, these are perfect. No scrunched little piggies!

I was so gutter as this was a present. The boots had clearly been worn and came dirty with white marks on them. The actually leather on the boots had evidence of this. Sent back for a full refund

Las botas más hermosas del mundo

Soy fan de esta marca con este ya es el quinto par que compro por este medio ya que aquí las encuentro mucho más baratas que en la tienda oficial Dr Martens en la Ciudad de México, son las botas perfectas, yo las amo y las uso todo el tiempo, si eres del 4.5 México las 7US 5UK es la talla que te recomiendo, no te arrepentirás en comprarlas

Vienen justas

Me dejé llevar por las reseñas que dicen que vienen grandes: no es así, vienen de la talla indicada, ni más ni menos. Me quedaron chicas y por eso la regresé. Ojo, no es cuestión de “romper” las botas, es una situación de talla exacta; pedí 24 mx pensando que a mi siendo 24.5 mx me iban a quedar bien “porque vienen grandes”. No es así.

Super consigliate

Recensisco in primis il venditore per l'affidabilità. Sono arrivate molto prima della data prevista e sono esattamente come descritte. La mia paura è che fossero rigide invece essendo in nappa sono veramente morbide e comode dal primo utilizzo. Super contenta! È il primo dottor martens che acquisto, alcuni dicono che dovrebbero esserci i lacci gialli e l'etichetta che non sono presenti, ma si vede certamente che sono originali!
