Arrived damaged

I purchased this for my daughters sixth birthday as I have in other years, this year it came in original packaging in a bubble wrap envelope, no fragile stickers and sadly an arm was broken off. Other years the original packaging was in a box with peanuts or more bubble wrap and always has had a fragile sticker. I think if they hadn’t changed shipping packaging I wouldn’t have had this issue. Luckily I was able to glue the arm on but not after a birthday girl meltdown when she opened it at her birthday party and was broken.

Beautiful but definitely keep out of reach of kids

We love these however they are VERY fragile. My daughter gets one every birthday. Just make sure they are put up out of reach

Okay, but not as good as the original version

Having seen the original version of the "Growing Up Girls" the modern versions are a bit of a disappointment in quality of features. The original ones had more delicate details, more details altogether, and were well proportioned. The modern ones seem to be a copy of the original mold where much of the detail of the original was lost and is now more vague overall. Also, the necks seem disproportionately longer and the heads smaller than the originals. Nevertheless, despite our disappointment, the kids were thrilled to receive them on their birthdays and there is no alternative, so for what they're worth, we're giving them 3 stars.
