Love these things

Had one a few years ago but lost in a move. Easy to pair/find on the app. Easy to name everything and turn everything on/off remotely or set on schedules. Highly highly recommend for anyone looking for smart and remote control of electrical devices.

Difficult setup

I have several Feit smart plugs and every one of them have been difficult to set up. If you keep trying over and over again it will eventually work though. This smart power strip is what I expected so. Each outlet is individually controllable from the app or from alexa. And the USB group can also be turned on and off remotely.

Prevented a small fire

Each individual outlet (and the USB charging ports) will be off by default when this strip loses power. I wish it was "smart" enough to remember individual settings on power loss, but at least all your devices won't be running amok when you aren't home just because the power dipped. So with that in mind, I'd say this smart strip is best suited for a group of simple devices that you want to control remotely but are usually off. For example, I use it for controlling novelty lights, especially during Christmas when I can set a timer for my tree. But if you don't have multiple things to control in the same area, then consider getting a normal power strip with an individual Feit Smart Outlet Plug to control a single device. Plugging normal things into this strip that you want on 24/7 is just a waste of money and a potential headache after a power loss. In terms of surge and GFCI protection, I accidentally tested this feature and it works great. I had an old light with a frayed cord that was shorted out, and this power strip detected it and turned off... twice, because the first time I thought the power strip had died and tried turning it on again. Nope! It was doing its job perfectly to prevent a small electrical fire or electrocution event. It definitely gets five stars in my book after that.

If power goes out, it won’t turn itself back on

If the power goes out or you unplug the strip for some reason, it doesn’t turn back on automatically when the power is restored. It stays off. If you have something you need to run 24/7, you’ll have to manually turn it back on after a power outage. I don’t understand why it doesn’t just resume its previous state. Otherwise, I love the individual control of each plug. I would buy more except for the power thing I mentioned.

Easy to integrate and operate

As I already have multiple Feit plugs, so this was easy to integrate where you need multiple plug points but still want individual on/off control on the extension cord.

Complete Garbage ...

I owe 2 of these damn things, after a power surge months ago, the power strip got knocked out and I was never ever able to link it back with my wi-fi, ( this also caused the single unit plugs FEIT to get knocked out as well ) I purchase a second one ,thinking the surge damaged the unit somehow. the second unit wont sync with my Wi-Fi either. After Feit did their last software update , back when they gave a crap about heir products ( i owe several the single units too , NONE of them work ) you can't even load them in the phone app anymore , the FEIT app stopped working , it will detect the plug , but it wont complete the installation process . If you go to FEIT website they ask you to look at the instructions that came in the box, GOOD LUCK finding help , as in a REAL person . Im surprised Amazon still sells this garbage , it would be nice if Amazon would step up and reimbursed me for buying this crap . Amazon Alexa provides you with a long list of " OTHER DEVICES" when setting up a connection, guess what ? FEIT is not one of them . people please don't waste your hard money on any FEIT plugs , they DONT work.

Each outlet is programmable!

Extremely easy to program. I like the fact that each outlet is individually programmable. The USB ports are all together, but even still, this is a good buy. Maybe a little pricey but I think it's worth it.
