Great shallow food dish
Really like this food dish. It’s nice and shallow for my small crabs. Too shallow to make a water dish but as food it’s perfect and easy to clean

More shallow than I thought
The part that holds the water is really shallow, so it evaporates very quickly. But it's a really sturdy product and we're happy with the purchase!

Decent Quality Food Dish for Hermits
I definitely would not use this for water, as it is not very deep at all. However, it does work quite well for a food dish, providing lots of room for me to spread out salad and protein options for the crabs. The only issue is that it is slightly porous, and so it has been staining whenever I give them tomato or bell pepper. Wouldn't be an issue if I could clean it with soap, but since hermits are so sensitive, all I can use is hot water, and that hasn't been cutting it. That being said, my crabs seem to love it, so I would definitely buy it again.

A little shallow
I feel this dish is perfect for food but a little shallow for water. There is so little water in them and the tank is so warm it evaporates over night. Especially the salt water. If you want a shallow dish this is great but if you prefer a deeper dish I would shop around.

I used this in my Biorb Tube 9 gallon aquarium to provide a flat spot for my large Corydoras catfish to eat without the food falling in among the rocks out of his reach. The dish is about the diameter described, but is much flatter, not bowl like, and very rough and “holely” in texture. I was expecting a nice brown toned bowl like in the advertised image, but was sent a white, concrete colored dish. Not happy with the false advertising, but my catfish fits in the dish nicely, although I wish it were deeper as pictured. It’s rough texture may make it hard to clean in a dryer environment. It’s OK, BUT not as advertised. Image and description should be more truthful.

Shallow dish for small hermit crabs
Used this as a water dish for some small to medium hermit crabs. Works great for them. Holds enough water for them, but allows them to easily climb in and out without danger of drowning. A good addition to their home!
