Cute costume

The material is lightweight, but it works well for a costume. It pairs well with some white tights to look appropriate for a colonial style costume. The hat was difficult to reshape after the way it was packaged, but it looked good and was comfortable to wear.

Cute and does the job

My kid had a US revolution school project. This worked out well. It’s somewhat delicate but it looked good fit the sizing right as per the specs. For me it’s a one use thing unless my younger kid has e same project one day. So price was right/fair

Great Value Costume

Item is great price and has a solid construction for the value. My son is 9 years old and I ordered the 12-14 size and it fit well. I'm worried the shirt would be too short if I had ordered the 8-10 size. So I'd suggest you order up. The elastic waist is forgiving so it shouldn't be too big.

a bit short for 11 year old but overall not bad

I don't know why costumes cost so much... as quality of fabric and frankly the "one-time-wear-only" purpose. Anyways, this may have been a bit too small for him but was relatively well done fabric with hat (of course no pistol or boots or socks). Yet cost me $15 so can't complaint. Needed for the Colonial Day celebration and it did the trick

Ideal Colonial Costume for the price

My son was Paul Revere for his oral book report. Costume worked great. Simple but definitely colonial. He made me cut all the lace trim off the wrists and neck, but there was still plenty of material to look colonial. The hat was the only drawback as it is soft and oddly creased from packaging. I tried to reshape it, but found a better colonial hat at a local costume shop. All in all the shirt and knickers worked perfectly. It attaches with Velcro so my boy could easily do the transformation at school himself.

OK for the price but don't expect much

This costume is ok for the price but you should not expect too much. As mentioned by other reviewers, the hat is floppy and sewn on 2 sides, making it more of a cowboy hat rather than a true tricorn. I will have to cut out the sticking and re-sew. The shirrt/pantaloons are of cheap polyester fabric. The buttons are thin plastic stickers with poorly sewn velcro tabs behind them. For the price, it will do for my son's 1-time class presentation but don't expect too much. You will need to purchase the gun, white stockings & buckle shoe covers separately.

Beware of sizing

The sizing was off. I ordered Lg 12-14 for my child who is small for his age of 11, but it’s almost too small for him. It should be labeled M 8-10 . The hat that came with it was ridiculously small and flat as a pancake .

Not quite what I anticipated

I ordered this costume for my son's Williamsburg unit at school. I was definitely not expecting superior quality for the price point that I bought it, but it definitely felt cheaper than I anticipated. I ended up returning and making my own costume. If you need a quick one day thing, this would probably work for you, but I needed it to last for several wearings over several months.
