Sharp

Durable, and very little splintering with maple

Nice cutting bit

Very sharp bit that does not burn wood even when full depth through wood that is prone to burning such as cherry. I have typically used cheaper products and have to make cuts in multiple passes, but not with this bit. I will be using Freud bits in the future.

Inaccurate product listing

Three stars for the uncertainty that I had to feel before receiving delivery. Some of the reviews stated receiving a Quadra cut and others with only two cutters… Which is what the listing shows in the picture. Description does not match the picture and seller needs to get more organized. Other than that, I did receive the Quadra cut and Always expect the best from Freud products

Great bit, but be safe when using!

The 7/8” bit is quite large (2-1/4” overall) and requires a steady hand to use. I mounted it in my router table to create the profile, and it was an effort for me (I used Gripper push blocks to push the workpiece through.) I crated column capitals using 1-1/2” western red cedar for the molding and cap. Overall, the bit worked perfectly!

Bit works fine

I like this bit fine but this is listed as a Quadra-cut meaning four cutting surfaces as pictured but bit sent has normal 2 cutting faces not four.

Freud quality

I bought this bit to route the bull nose to complete my raised fireplace area in the corner of our living room. The material I used was white Oak that was recycled from a building built around the turn of century. It's beautiful wood with much tighter grain than you see these days and it's hard. Very hard. Like all Freud router bits I've owned though, this made short work of it and left very little sanding for me. Truth is, if I wasn't so picky, I could have left it alone, but I sanded it to rough it up a little because it was too smooth and shiny. Sure, there are cheaper bits out there that will cut the same profile, but, they won't do it as well or for as long as a Freud.

Not to be confused with a round over bit

Great bit like all other Freud router bits. Don’t confuse this bit with a round over bit like I did as it will leave a step like the photo. Swapping out the bearing with a 3/4” bearing will create a round over which is nice
