Simple Setup and Expected Freud Quality

I spent hours trying to decide on a sash bit set. Having never built a sash I didn't know what to look for. If you have specific stock needs, you should start there because some bits are adjustable and others, like this set, is designed for very a specific stock size. Be sure to mill your material to be same thickness or things won't line up properly. I decided to go with this set because I've always been happy with my Freud bits and I wanted a set so I didn't have to disassemble and reconfigure the setup between rails and stiles like single bits require. I have no complaints about this set and would recommend it.

Good Bit. Challenging Woodworking Project

This has been the most challenging woodworking project to date. Bits are great but nothing is intuitive about the process. The challenge is compounded by the bare-bones instructions included with either bit. It took me a while to figure it out by searching online. Absolutely necessary if you are building casement sashes

I bought this bit with the Freud 99-051 sash style router bit and when used as set they allowed me to recreate 100 year old casement windows that were not distinguishable from the ones they replaced, except for the fact that they were not water damaged!
