Going Strong 4 years later

Purchased Apr 2019 and now in Apr 2023 they are still going strong. They illuminate from dusk to nearly dawn. No trouble with batteries or bulbs. Bight light without being annoyingly distracting. Highly recommend. These replaced gas lights, just installed on the existing 3" pole.

They’re bright enough for solar lamps and have lasted 2+ years without having to think about them. No issues. Good product.

Great stand alone light

This light looks great and puts out a good amount of light. I also like the idea that the battery pack can be replaced. It was purchased to replace an old solar light whose battery pack had worn out and had become broken. It took a little ingenuity to adapt this light to the pole from the previous light, but now it works and looks great. The only improvement would be if it had 2 brightness levels triggered by a motion sensor like our old light did - this would increase the batter life remaining for those early morning departures from the driveway. The light does have 2 brightness setting controlled by a switch. We think we have it in the low setting, but it's hard to tell the difference.

Switch Position???????

I just received the fixture and have not charged the batteries yet. I cannot tell what position the hi/low/off switch is in. Is there a way to tell?

Alittle expensive. They last for 2-3 years.

Initially very happy; now very disappointed.

I bought this in December 2020, for a very decent price. Worked for one (1) year and two (2) months. Now it’s dead. Still under implied warranty of “two years”…but I will call Gama Somic and find out whether they will honor that/what they offer to do. I think it’s very sad that a solar light fixture that now costs close to $200 only lasts a little over a year. Who can afford to replace them all the time at that kind of cost? And why is Amazon showing a 4.5 satisfaction rating, when less than 50% of reviewers gave it a five star rating?? (I have no other option than to replace it. My electric line to lamp post is corroded, and far too expensive to replace. HOA demands we have our lamp lights on at night. Ugh!)
