This works Lift Master

Great product! Had purchased a Genie Wi-Fi unit for my single car garage even tho I had a lift master on the 2 car door. We added this to the lift master opener. This product made it possible for us to control both doors from one app. Was pretty easy to add to a non Genie opener. I did program the Wi-Fi and set up from inside my home before I connected to make sure I had good signal. I took advice from the instructions and mounted at the motor of the opener due to the unit needing AC power and the convenience of having an open outlet above the motor. Works perfectly.

Great product but....

All in all great built quality and I would recommend this product. This item was not compatible with my GDO (Ryobi) but with a little bit of re-engineering it works great. Two things I did not find user friendly. One - It does not support MyQ type wireless programming directly with GDO. You have to have only Genie GDO I believe. Two - The power supply is very short.

Great Product

I love that we can share access for a limited time without giving a remote or code to someone. Instead I manage the access with the app, both setting who can access my garage but also when. Not to mention that I can get notifications as to when someone accessed my garage and can close it from a different state!

Awesome product app needs work

Product does just what it is supposed to do. Only issue I had was adding additional users. They never saw the door even after downloading the app and creating an account

Works beautifully!

For several years, I had a MyQ. It stopped working when I got Starlink (for some reason, not compatible). So I thought I'd give this Genie a try. OMGosh! So much better than the MyQ. I'm an old widow, so I had to install slowly, but it went flawlessly because I was able to use the wires already connected to the opener. LOVE its integration with Alexa. I also got to test my "rule" - to close at 10:00PM IF open. Worked fine because I went to bed and forgot to close the door - I heard the door close at 10:00! So far, I can't say enough good about this retro-fit kit! Great job, Genie!

Great door controller!

I got this because I never can remember if I shut the garage door. This thing is great if your door opener has a two wire button I'm sure it will work out for you. I kept my original buttons for both my openers because they had features that I wanted to use so I mounted this unit between the cars. Some people mount this on the ceiling by the opener but I wanted to be able to use the buttons and it is a good place because it has a flashing light when you open/close the door with the app on your phone. It installs very easy. You can also connect the unit to your Alexa account so if your in bed at night and can't remember if you shut your door just ask Alexa and she will tell you. And if it needs to be shut just tell Alexa to shut the door(you have to give each door a name and a 4 digit code).

Setup is easy and works great

I connected it to the opening button as indicated in the directions. Some simple wiring, biggest challenge was to find a way to plug in the power source, cable is rather short for this setup but I made it work. Wifi setup was a breeze. App works great. Sensor is easy to mount to garage door. Def recommend this product.

Easy install with one minor hiccup at the star

Works good, but I had one issue out of the box. The serial number was “unavailable” when I tried to register the unit to my account. A quick chat session resolved the issue but probably never should have happened in the first place. I also chose to mount next to the garage door opener, on the ceiling since a power outlet was readily available. Installation was quite easy and all necessary hardware was included. I can’t get it to work with Alexa however, as there doesn’t seem to be a “skill” available even though the company says there is. 4/5 stars only because it didn’t work out of the box

So close to perfect

So far I am absolutely loving this smart garage. Our old remote was super touchy and we were always afraid we accidentally hit the button and left our garage open. No more! With this device we not only have the ability to open and close with our phone, but we also get updates as soon as there is any activity!! You can turn off the notifications but I like having peace of mind. If this is so awesome why did I give it 4/5 stars? 1) virtual keys require the person you share it with to have a genie account. Not the end of the world but an annoying experience 2) the beeping/flashing light can’t be disabled (annoying since my garage door has other safety sensors)... this ultimately causes slow downs since you have to wait for it to beep before the door opens 3) works great with Google assistant but not with Siri (I.e. I have to open the app to open my garage instead of just asking my phone like I do with my Google mini). If genie addresses these 3 minor issues this would be a 5 star without a doubt. Overall I’d still recommend this for the price.

Sleeping easier

Got this after our garage was burgled after we accidentally left the door open. That will never happen again! Really pleased with the performance and ability to schedule automatic closing after X minutes. Setup was pretty easy, though I did have to try a couple of combinations when wiring to my Liftmaster. Opening and closing via the app takes about 20-30 seconds, so slower than the "real" buttons, but so nice to be able to do that remotely. Overall really pleased, and wish I'd installed it earlier.

Excellent Box

Great addition to the garage door. I feel safer in my home knowing when the door is open or closed. Works flawlessly after having some issues with connecting to the app. How I solved it? I went and entered the settings manually through the IP address of the Aladdin router/wifi page in my browser. If anyone has questions, please feel free to ask. I'll help anyway I can.

Nice install.

If you follow the directions, this thing is a very easy install. It's too bad vehicle technology integration has not caught up with smart phone apps. One day i hope to see this app being able to be pulled up on the vehicle screen so i can open the garage door from there without having to pull out the cell phone and use it directly. Maybe even voice activated. The delay from pressing the button in the app vs when the door starts to operate is obvious but also understandable given communication line being traversed. Just hit the button earlier is the easy workaround. Remember, you don't have to be within wifi range.
