great fit! Update, great waterproof

Update, used on a reasonable length wet ride, about 3 hours, 75% time it rained. Stayed totally dry, wore a short sleeve jersey and arm warmers, plus a micro base layer, never to hit or to cold, 43-45F. From previous review **the fit is perfect for me. I'm 5' 5" about 145 - 150 pounds, little barrel chested. The fit charts say 37-38" chest and I measure to 39" but in testing the fit, I have a insulated vest / puffy vest underneath and a jersey, this fits just fine. I didn't want it billowing in the wind, but at the same time its no to snug, in a riding position on the hoods this looks to be perfect. The price I got unbeatable at 70% off the retail... wowza!

Stay warm and dry in winter conditions without dressing like the michelin man

I bought the jacket a few months ago and now wear it for all winter bicycle rides. At 35 degrees and higher, the jacket, plus one layer underneath is all I need to stay warm and dry (I wear a long sleeve bike jersey). I rode in a down pour and 39 degrees yesterday and was completely dry. Below 35 degrees (I've ridden in the low 20s), two layers underneath are required and make sure to pick a size that can accommodate that-they are a tight fit. It also keeps out the windchill. I couldn't do winter rides without it. The only reason I didn't give a fifth star is that this color combination is difficult to keep clean. The yellow requires TLC.

Perfect for mild winter weather

This garment is the perfect combination with a light wool base layer for 45-65 F Temps. At 6ft 205 lbs 43 chest and 36W the XL fits perfect with my merino 150 wool base layer. The arms and back flap are long which is a must for when you want to ride the drops. Great wind stopper. It is a breathable GoreTex product but keep in mind, you will still accumulate a lot of sweat which is why I'm recommending a light weight Merino wool base layer.

Wrong size shipped

Was excited to get the jacket today……. Ordered an XL and was shipped an XXL…… kind of a bummer. The overall quality of the jacket, looks great. The fact that it took a minute to get here and it’s the wrong size, disappointing.

Love it!

I was looking for a windproof, waterproof, and breathable cycling jacket for my longer rides and commute. This jacket has exceeded my expectations! I feel warm and comfortable when cycling in the early mornings. It's held up with some light rain so far.

Elbows Too SMall

I did not get a chance to evaluate the water-shedding and breathability of this jacket because while the body fits well, the amount of fabric in the elbow area is far too small for anyone with muscles.

What the Gore C3 Active Jacket Should Be!!

A very good jacket with a better fit that most cyclists will be used to. I sent back the C3 active jacket after trying this one on as it addressed the velcro cuffs on the C3 and the cut is more fitting which means it wont flap about in the wind. I am 80kg and 5'10" with athletic build and the Large fits me perfectly with room to have a base layer and jersey underneath. In the C3 active jacket I had to drop to a medium to get a similar fit but it still felt tight in places. This is as good as jacket as you will find IMO, decent VFM and guaranteed gore water resistance etc.

The sizing is very odd.

I wanted this jacket so much . It is a great jacket. However, there is something really odd about this jacket. It says that it’s a women's Jacket but the shoulders are really broad, the jacket is tight at the hips and the arms are exceptionally long. This all indicates that it is actually a men’s jacket.

Very good on an Amazon instant deal I could actually afford one. Much drier in the rain now.
