Hose Savior

I used this to revive a 1/4" I.D. air hose that had cracks and leaks near the crimped-on threaded end. I saved a hose from the landfill (except the last 12"), and I saved money. Pros: Guardair High Flows usually lock up well with other brands and types of air connectors, but keep in mind a cheap Female universal quick release connector can kill airflow. Saves a hose from the landfill. Does not require special tools to install. Higher airflow than most 1/4" I.D. connectors, but see Cons about this one. Cons: Price of Guardair products are higher than other Hi Flow connectors. This connector will have lower airflow than a Guardair High Flow male on a threaded connection, due to the long and narrow barb section. I drilled it out about a 1/16". (That may seem like a small amount, but remember on cylinders that increases in diameter increase volume by a factor of 4.) Does not swivel or pivot. This buy was well worth it to me because I caught it on a momentary Amazon price dip.
