Day dial doesn't function well.

The watch is a good looking watch (why i got it to replace my decade old Guess) and has a good feel to it. The time and date functions seem to work well. But that's about where saying good things end. For starters, though it doesn't blatantly claim to have the functionality, the watch case would lead one to think it had a Tach function using the second hand and the two A & B buttons. It does not. Nope. All those buttons do is set the date and day. Pull out the crown to adjust the time, press those buttons to adjust the date and day. On top of that, the buttons to set the date and day are always engaged and functionable. Pressing the crown in or pulling it out doesn't affect them. So any errant bump can lead the day or date to being advanced. That is the design of a $20 watch. That is even crazier when you read that you shouldn't advance the date during certain hours for risk of damaging the mechanism. So what if an accidental bump on the date adjustment happens during those hours, since it can't be disengaged. Watch ruined. Lastly, but not leastly... The day function is the worst implementation i have seen. It literally advances an inconsistent angle each time either the button is pressed or time is advanced past midnight (more like 0100). This can lead to the needle being anywhere from the middle of the day indication to landing squarely on the line between two days. Sometimes 6 advances will go the full circle, sometimes the 7 that it should take. Utter garbage. I would not recommend this watch unless you solely want it for the dial face to drop unto another movement. It does look nice, though it doesn't even have the benefit of a domed crystal.
