Nu heb je te maken met het gedoe van het uitschakelen van de pomp en het graven door de opbouw om de mand te verwijderen en te legen. Top Quality Product!

I've had lots of minor issues with my old pool skimmer basket. It was difficult to reach without dipping my hand through the cold water in winter. It often flipped upside down or sideway inside the skimmer as the pump stops at night, dumping bunch of leaves and debris into the suction line. I finally decided to give this strange looking thing a try. It works like a charm! First, the quality is so much better than my old basket, very well built. Second, it's very easy to pull out to remove the leaves, no need to wet my hand. Last, I put some pebbles inside the tower handle as weight. The basket has never flipper once. A great investment!

I am a pool man and there are a few things to know...

This is NOT a paid review. Every time a pool customer needs a skimmer basket, this is my go-to replacement basket. This basket will last many years. I like the easy-to-reach handle, it is heavy duty, and is a good value. When you first receive the basket, unscrew the middle handle and remove the rod and then screw the handle back on. The rod inserts into the two holes on the inside of the basket for added strength. The rod also acts as a second handle to allow you to remove the basket when it is VERY full and suctioned to the inside of the skimmer. If your pool gets a LOT of debris, fill the handle with rocks before you screw it back on. The added weight prevents floating debris from causing the basket to float up and out of place. Most pools do not need the added weight. Do not add metal for weight as most metals rust. Use smooth rocks if possible. When you empty the basket, do not bang the handle down to get the stuff out or this will eventually break the basket. I simply place the full basket into my net, submerse into the pool, and remove the basket and net together with the basket upside down and the debris falls into the net with the help of the pool water. If you do not mistreat it, this basket will last 10+ years.

Does what it’s supposed to do

Small but easy to clean

This is easy to clean as the handle is very accessible. However the basket is not as deep or does not have as big of a capacity as a standard basket so you need to clean more often. Overall happy with the purchase because of the durability, just wish it could hold more debris.

Actually 8.5 inches wide

Great quality but it’s actually 8.5 inches across, so I had to file it down to meet my 8” opening

Life saver

I have lots of leaves fall in pool and this is a life saver. The middle telescoping section always allows water to be suck into the pump. Without this the basket would be too full of leaves and stop water flow and the pump would burn up. I don't know how anyone could have a pool without this if they get leaves in the pool.
