great price and great pump.

Took 1 1/2 hours to install. Used my old fitting as the one sent do not fit...The pump is quiet and does the job.. the retail on the suggested replacement for mine as the original was discontinued was $750.00 this is great.

No PVC in the USA will fit into these fittings. You will need rubber boots to connect.

The pump works great and is fairly quiet, however, you will not be able to connect any pvc directly to the fitting provided. You will instead need to use a rubber sleeve or boot to connect with pipe clamps.

Great Pump - But read 2 notes...

Great pump and very quiet. 1) One thing to remember is that it is not self priming so the pump needs to be placed lower than the water (e.g hot tub or above ground pool). I am using for a pool water feature (waterfall) and am using a check valve that insures that water is stored in the pump for startup. 2) It does not have standard fittings. The 2" fittings are not actually standard 2" and will not fit standard 2" PVC couplings. The specs say that they are 5cm/2.0". 5cm is actually 1.9685" and I don't think they are quite that large. Consequently, I used rubber coupling with stainless steel clamps. An acceptable compromise considering the price and apparent quality of the pump.

Not a whole year

Says I bought this in February. It's December. It's pumping at half capacity with no obstructions. Not enough water to activate the heater. Did run 24/7 for 11 months. Disappointing? Yes. Unexpected. No.

Pump must be below water level to prime.

This pump relies on the water weight to fill the propeller in order to prime. It will not prime if the water level is below the inlet, nor will it hold the prime.

still going strong after a year

I bought this as a pump for my 18 foot above ground pool. I used all last summer and now this summer 2021 -2022 and it still works great! No issues running my salt water pool.

GREAT BARGIN!

We bought a half hp for our 15 ft round blow up ring pool. It's super quiet and we can vacuum the pool well but could easily use a 3/4 hp or a 1 hp. Was delivered in 4 days. We highly recommend

460 W not 370 W - almost 100 W more than it should take

This pump is super silent! Almost everything is great … but I was surprised that it almost sucks 100 W more than it should … very strange things are happening here on Amazon.
