I bought this on clearance but knew I would hate the white velvet top and I do. But the price was great and easy to reupholster. With a little of work I got an excellent deal! The end product is beautiful and was able to use a scrap from my pillows to match the bench.

Elegant simple fun bench

We're so pleased with this purchase. We needed a small bench for our cramped entryway and this fit the bill perfectly. The color is what it looked like in the photos - a nice muted but rich orange. It was easy for me to put it together by myself (54 year old woman). (I am good at this sort of thing but it was still easy.) They packaged it quite well so you didn't lose the small bag of screws and allen wrench it comes with. It feels very sturdy and brightens up the entry way with the pop of color.

Not exactly like the picture...somewhat deceptive

I specifically picked the orange ones because in the online photos of the orange version, it showed the X base as being flush with the floor, which I like the look of much better than the ones where the X is elevated about 1/2" or so. Of course, the ones I received were the kind with the elevated base :-/ Not too happy about that, I suspect they changed the design so it could be shipped in a smaller, flatter box. Regardless, I wanted what I saw pictures and that's not what I received. I do note that some of the other photos show the elevated base in some of the other colors. If that's all you can get now, they need to update the photos online so people aren't deceived like I was. The other thing is the color of the metal isn't actually gold, it's kind of an odd mustard-y color with the teeny tiniest bit of a metallic glint to it. No way would I call it bronze or gold or anything in that family. Regarding assembly, the pieces didn't line up exactly so there was a bit of force involved in screwing it together and you can see where the flanges aren't quite flush with the seat frame and legs. On the plus side the metal frame seems strong and they feel pretty sturdy and stable. I am using them in my office where they will get fairly light use, so they'll work. But I do think they were a little pricey for what I got.

A lot of work to assemble

Well this bench is very pretty and works very well in my guestroom it was a bear to assemble. My suggestion is to leave the legs as loose as possible because you’re going to have to push and pull and have somebody else help you align the holes to get that bottom part in. After several attempts and getting that bottom X to fit I ended up having to use a hammer and a wrench to hold the Allen wrench to tighten the screws once things were aligned. I definitely worked up a sweat.

Fits perfectly

This was one of the only benches that I could find online which was this size. Most are much longer and I had a smaller space by my front door. It is wonderful. Fits perfectly, the color is wonderful and it is sturdy and very practical for sitting to put on boots etc.
