Great calls, ok DVD.

I got invited on my first elk hunt this coming fall so I ordered these calls. I have used turkey diaphragm calls before and think they are great so figured elk diaphragms and the instructional DVD would be a good start. I watched the DVD with the calls at the ready, waiting for the hosts to teach me how to use the calls. They went into a little discussion on how each person likes to blow a call, but never really gave a lot of instruction. Luckily, the calls are fairly easy to use and it wasn't long and I started to sound like an elk. I'm by no means an expert, but the calls sound good to me when comparing them to sound clips of live elk. Would have gave it 5/5 stars but I am a little disappointed in the "instructional" DVD.

Cd is a waste

Hope the Disc was free. Nothing of real value. I will write back with an update on the calls.

Carlton Elk calls are great

The instructional video is great, it really helps a novice to learn the ins and outs of calling. I highly recommend these calls.

Great cow call to learn on.

Cow call is easy to blow. I wish the disc was more helpful, but there are plenty of YouTube instructionals.

Awesome

Awesome calls. I tried the primos diaphragm calls and boy were they crap. I decided to try these and I seriously sound like a pro for having zero elk calling experience. My friends that are true elk hunters and awesome callers were super impressed and now buying some. If you want diaphragm calls save your time and get these

Great starter kit

Great starter kit, I have went on to order a couple more but the video really helps you figure it out. Now i keep one in my truck and just practice while driving and have been successful that past couple years calling. Glad I started with these.

I expected the DVD to play the audio in a cd player...it did not so is opf minimal value to me to learn how to use.
