Good looking watch, but not able to tell time in low light or complete dark

Pros: Watch came on time as promised. Well packaged and protected with wrap. Nice looking watch. Watch seems to be hefty and well built. Nice thick hard rubber wrist band. Cons: As some have said, this is not a divers watch at all. I am a diver and was disappointed that there is no luminance on the face or arms of this watch. It is for show only as in dim light you will not be able to tell time. For me the heftiness of the watch is not a big deal but to others it might be. Watch band: For those of us who have slightly larger wrists, this might not fit. You might have to get another band for it. For me, I have two holes left in the band and my wrists are slightly larger than "average". I guess they are... The date settings might be confusing to some as there are two slots in the face that show the date. The date should be set to the one tiny square hole as the picture indicates. The directions are not for this model per-say but contain a variety of models and this one is not in the booklet. However you should be able to gleam enough from the directions to use on this watch. I'm not sure if I am going to keep the watch as there is no way to tell time when it is dark out. I want functionality not just form. But I am still unsure of what I am going to do at this moment.

Invicta Men's 6986 Pro Diver

Got mine today. Looks cool an solid. A few notes for all buyers: 1. Size. The timepiece is bigger, heavier and thicker than you can tell by pictures. This model is even heavier than my 47mm Invicta Ocean Ghost Chronograph which is on a steel bracelet! Consider size and weight before order. 2. "Pro diver" collection. Of course it is neither "pro diver" or any type of "diver" watch. That is a stylish accessory, nothing more. Maybe you can have it on your wrist while you are enjoying a cocktail at swimming pool party. But that's all. Don't even try to really dive with them :) 3. The description here says "Luminous" about hands and dot hour markers. It's NOT! The watch become completely blind in darkness. Nothing glows in night. 4. And one more thing. It seems there are different versions of this model. Amazon will not warn you regarding which one you will get. The one on pictures here on Amazon have "SWISS" written on its face. And, also, "SWISS Chronograph movement" written on back. That model, I suppose, have real swiss movement inside. However, the watch I recieved today, looks almost exactly the same, but, there is no word "SWISS" on face of the watch. And it says "SWISS PARTS movement" on a backside. This clearly means the movement inside is NOT pure swiss. So the pictures tells no true here. Maybe you will be lucky to get "SWISS" one? Personally, I don't think that there will be any difference in movement performance. But you know, this small detail catched my eye when I was making an order - and I expected the timepiece with "Swiss" but not "Swiss parts movement". That makes me feel a little disappointed.

VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!

This is my second Invicta, the first being the Russian Diver- Carbon Fiber. From the reviews, I was expecting this watch to be as large as the Russian Diver, Which I LOVE.... but it is not. So for anyone complaining about the size of this watch being too big.... grow a pair and be a man. This watch is so unvbelievably cool! While not as large as my Russian Diver, it is still fairly impressive in size, so while I personally was mildly dissapointed, I have since gotten used to it being a tad bit smaller than I was expecting. As with all Invicta's, this thing is built like a tank and can and will take a beating. The cronograph function is awesome, and I gert nothing but compliments about this watch. Everyone wants me to take it off so they can get a closer look at it. It is VERY military looking in nature, which suits me just fine. This has become my everyday watch. It will get beat up, and Im ok with that. As one reviewer said, I think it will actually look better with age and some wear and tear. I am sold on Invicta, and will not wear anything else. Built to be tough. Designed for envious looks. This is a great watch!

Favorite Watch!!

I started collecting watches about two years ago, and ended up with about 15 watches of all different kinds, including Invicta. Until I got this watch! This is BY FAR my favorite watch of all my watches! I love the bigger-face watches that are popular. However, I also like thick watches. But I don't like a large-faced and thick watch that has a skinny watch band - kinda defeats the purpose, right? What's great about this watch, besides it's an absolutely cool-looking watch - being all black, but still having plenty of components going on with the calendar, chronograph, etc., is it has Invicta's name along the side of the watch opposite of where the buttons are, and has a relatively fat band to go with the large and thick watch itself. I don't have giant wrists, but this watch still fits and looks great. I have the same watch in orange, but the black is much cooler, and has become my go-to watch. Very comfortable, good looking, and keeps great time. Can wear with a suit, jeans & polo, or to the gym - any way it looks great!

Black Beauty!

This is my 6th Scuba. But this one is just over the top. It's all black and does it look sharp! This is just a stealthy timepiece. The date window is cut in such a way that allows you to see the date wheel around the lower portion of the dial. A neat feature. This is just a cool looking watch. However, if you do not like black, this is not the watch for you. Two things of note. In my opinion, the one thing that would make this watch better is if it was on a black bracelet. And, the Tritnite luminous material does not glow. Even after holding it under a light for a time. But I still love the watch. Lastly, Amazon did another great job getting it to me. From order to in my hands was just a few days. Very fast with no problems

Comfortable looks good. It’s cost made it vfm. Weighs right. Maybe a brand looked down on but this is my third watch from them and I have no complaints and it keeps time

I absolutely loved this watch

I absolutely loved this watch, it's big, it's heavy and it looks amazing! Unfortunately the usual second hand isn't a second hand and is only used for the stopwatch mode - kinda seems wasted. In addition after 4 days the second hand broke and got stuck at 5! Which made the other features redundant. I'm torn about getting another one, after reading the negative reviews there seems to be a pattern and perhaps if something is too good to be true it often is! It's a real shame none the less

Bought this watch after buying another invicta watch well worth the money my husband is the proud owner of 2 now really pleased with it looks good and it's chunky big and heavy .

Nice watch but one if the hands is dodgy. Also runs a little slow. Not bad. Fits the reduced price tag.
