Works great to extract broken bolts
I had a very small screw head break off and needed a tiny ez out. This kit worked perfectly.

Should Have Left-Hand Twis Bits
This looks like a nice kit and I am sure it will work for a lot of people, but there is one critical design flaw. The drill bits are Right-Hand-Twist. Essentially, they tighten the broken bolt as they drill the hole. The next higher kit by Irwin, 11119, has the same number of pieces, but has Left-Hand-Twist bits. They will loosen the broken bolt as you drill the hole. Some times this may be enough to remove the broken bolt. The biggest downside of the 11119 kit is that it costs about 50% more at around $40. I just returned this kit and bought the 1119 kit. It arrives today.

A real quality toolset that does what it is supposed
I stripped out a hardened bolt on my mountain bike. Figured a screw extractor was a screw extractor so selected a cheap Chinese mfg no-name brand. Big mistake. After 45 minutes I was left with a worthless tool and a lot of frustration. Did some research and came on this set mfg by Irwin which I knew from prior purchases produce quality tools. Well it took all of 2 minutes to extract my stripped bolt. Couple of thoughts. The drill bits were fantastic. No issue with cutting into the bolt; just used an appropriate drill set on slow and put a little elbow grease into it. The extractor also worked better than expected. Once driled, I tapped the extractor in and using a ratchet turned counterclockwise with SLOW CONSTANT force. Bolt loosed, which was torqued to 10NM loosed right up. Don't use a power / cordless drill with the extractor. Use a ratchet and let Torque power it out. Bottom line; don't go cheap with tools. You'll save time, money and effort with a quality set.

I don't exactly know what I'm doing..
..but I basically did everything wrong and broke a bit. 0/10, would not recommend trying this for the first time on something expensive or hard to replace. And still, I'd recommend having someone with a lot of experience to show you how to do it. Or pay someone with experience to do it for you.

Take your time and it will work.
I needed to retrieve the broken tip of a OEM roof mounted antenna on a 2012 Jeep Liberty. I sprayed the opening with WD40 Gel prior to receiving this set. Received this kit, drilled slowly using the 2nd to smallest bit, then the rev. bit. Wife timed it 42 seconds. Had it out and was screwing the new antenna in. AWESOME tool.
