Pretty good but...
The strippers on the right were purchased in the early eighties and were fantastic. But they are no longer available and the blades a quite worn. I can't even identify them because the foil label has rubbed clean. The method on the left is what I have been using for years and although it's a bit awkward to use can outperform any wire stripper. I've stripped some fairly fine headphone/earbud wires with very few strands without loosing strands. These strippers are nice but I still find myself using the flat plyers with a razor blade most of the time.

Works with a Little Practice
About the only very fine-gauge wire stripper I could find. It goes down to 36 gauge, though I only used it for a 32-gauge wire. It worked fine, but required a little practice to get the grip tight enough to cut the insulation, but not so tight as to make it impossible to pull out. Particularly useful for model building (railroads, miniature scenes, etc.), where the wires on things like street lights or tiny motors are very fine. For $50, it should work without binding the wire, but I was satisfied that, with practice, it worked okay.

An absolute necessity for stripping PTFE
I originally found one of these in a thrift store, wore it out, and bought a new one. I wasn't expecting it to be sturdy enough to actually get the job done, but I was wrong! It works really well. I use Teflon-coated wire, which is extremely slippery and notoriously difficult to strip. This thing makes it so much easier. My only complaint is that I wish they would round the edges at the bottom where it sits in your hand. Those sharp corners will literally tear a gash in your palm if you're stripping wire for as many hours as I do. I taped a piece of foam to the bottom, which definitely helps. I suppose one could wear gloves while using it, too. I hate working with gloves, so they foam hack turned this helpful tool into the perfect one for the job.

Good product
Well built and works very well. Does not nick the wire if you set it right.

Loose ruler
My tool almost felt like it had been worn out. The ruler in the middle is loose and the thinnest wire even will push it back and I have to eyeball each measurement. Other than that, it's great.

Great tool for dealing with small gauged wire
I have been pleased with how well this tool works on fine wire.

Expensive but virtually without equal
For what it is, this product is horrendously expensive, HOWEVER it is the third identical one I have purchased it the past 10 years as there are few if any tools on the market that compare to this item. I use it for precision stripping 18 - 32 AWG wire that is going to be crimped into commercial and military grade connector crimps. The tool has 2 adjustments, one for the diameter of the wire (annoyingly in mm but they provide a handy table on the side to convert to AWG so no issue)and a slider that adjusts to very accurately set the length of the wire to strip. This tool allows me to very consistently and accurately strip cores in multi-core cables prior to precision crimping and I simply would be lost without it. The blades are good for 2,500 - 4,000 strips and if you set it up correctly it is virtually impossible to accidentally cut through a wire core. For military and aircraft grade work like I do every day, this tool is a must have and I have one in my mobile tool kit as well. This tool is not cheap but I still give it 5 stars and would highly recommend it if you need this type of precision.

Nice concept bad design
The concept of this tool is intriguing, as it has adjustable wire gauge settings, and the length of the strip is adjustable. The problem I believe is that this tool has 4 cutting blades so you are ending up putting a round peg into a square hole. I was using this on 24 gauge stranded data wire in which it also pulled several stands of wire with the strip. Even if I set the wire gauge setting to 22 gauge it would grab a few strands with it. So I returned mine. Maybe it would work ok on solid wire.

Simply just does not work
I so much wanted this to work. I was so excited at the size of this tool, and how easily it could be handled to strip small gauge wire. But, in use, it fails miserably. Others have commented about incorrect sizing of the dial. I couldn't get any dial setting to work on several different wires. Others also have commented about the length gauge being very loose. It seems to tighten and loosen at various times. I suspect that squeezing to strip causes the top/bottom of the tool to change positioning, resulting in the tightning/loosening of the length positioner.

I received a black stripper..
Somehow I got a black color one. I have used this one before and bought again as it broke. This stripper is not as strong as scissor shaped ones. I took out 2 stars as I wanted to have a yellow one.

Muy satisfecho con este producto
Lo uso para pelar los 8 cables de un cable ethernet. Agarro cada cablecito con un pincer de punio, y el Jonard es bien efectivo en pelarlo .
