My kid loves engineering & constructing!
The kid mentioned these from school, got’m as a surprise, he built the car same day and is constantly fiddling with the drive mech or wheels etc… excellent hands on learning toy!

K'NEX Hits Another Homerun!
Like everything about this toy. Challenging enough for a 9-year-old, but clear instructions. The motor is great so far. Fun little build and can promote creativity!

Sub-Par K'Nex product
Fun project for 6 year old. Box states 8 yrs and above but with adult help, a younger child can create. The Experiment Cards are not included with this set and English isn't the main language for instructions, it is French. Motor is not electric but motion geared. Box has bag of parts, two motors in individual bags and two rubber bands loose in the box. Not one of the best K'Nex products, a bit disappointed in the quality of what is said to be in the box and what is actually there.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! K'NEX are both educational AND fun !
This set of K'Nex was given to our 9 year old grandson; keeps the kids busy for a long time; also educational which their mom likes since she is a teacher ! All of our grandsons have had K'NEX sets at one time or another....and they have all had many hours of enjoyment with them!

Came obviously used AND missing pieces
This set seemed like a nice gift for a young family member, but we were very disappointed when we received a product that was USED when we purchased a NEW item. The box was practically mangled and kept together with tape, the bags were obviously re-sealed, and, as we later learned, pieces were missing. It's highly disappointing because I loved K'Nex when I was younger and I thought a STEM-focused set would be a great gift. It's too bad I will be avoiding their products in the future.

Plastic but instructive
I try to avoid buying plastic for grandchildren as it is their future that is threatened by it. In this case I went with it as it looked instructive and they reportedly re-used similar kits many times over as well as sharing them between them (girl 10, boy 12). Although the kit makes 4 different models, there are insufficient components to make all 4 simultaneously. It has had good use and with parental support (engineer and environmentalist) they will have noted the principles behind the engineering. If it is going to be well used and thought about, the addition of plastic to the environemnt may be worthwhile.
