Keeps it from rusting.
I have a very nice wood burning fire pit on my patio. It's only cool enough to use it from late fall to early spring. The rest of the year, I keep it covered to prevent it from rusting out. (Let's be real. Most fire pits are made of steel. Steel rusts, no matter how well it's painted.) Down here in central Texas, the sun is brutal in the summer. The last cover I got for this pit lasted two years. Then it started falling apart, due to exposure. This cover seems to be made of better material and hopefully will last a little longer. It's also a good idea to spray it with some kind of protectant/sealer. This one is very well made. The material is great. The stitching is perfect. The built-in drawstring, leg straps and vents are good features. Good purchase.

Fits nicely
This cover fits nicely. It has elastic cord woven around the bottom to hold the cover in place. It also has some exposed cord to put or the feet to secure it even more. It was too short for my firepit but still seems to work nicely. Had some stiff winds and it did not move the cover. I have only had it a few weeks so don't know how long it may last. Living in the desert of Arizona, the sun and really cause havoc on some material. Will have to wait until we get our 100+ degree temperatures to see how it will hold up.

Great Protection
Our old fire pit cover ripped and was unusable. This one is attractive and provides great protection. A big plus are the elastic cords on the corners that can go around the fire pit’s legs. This feature kept the cover snug during a storm with high wind speeds.

Lasted about 20 months
The cover dried out and became brittle, ultimately developing a tear and a hole. I purchased a different one also with Classic Accessories printed on the tag at about the same time, and that cover is still doing well from a sturdiness standpoint (although it did develop some mold discoloration where there was standing water). The covers look slightly different, and one is clearly superior from a durability standpoint. This cover by contrast clearly faded, weakened, and developed holes/tears. It was relatively inexpensive, though, because I bought it used. If you get the "bad" one, then you can decide if 20 months of life is worth the price.

Works great!
We ordered this for our outdoor square fire pit. We have had it for a couple of months and it works great to keep the elements out of the pit such as rain and debris. It has prevented any further rusting due to rain and weather damage to the tiled outer edge. I appreciate that it's not a snug fit and that it has elastic loops at the bottom to keep it put. If it were any more snug, it would be difficult to get it over the square edges of the pit. It does have elastic sewn into the edge of the canvas so that's been working all by itself to stay put during high winds. Highly recommend.

Recommend
I bought this at the end of summer 2019 to put over my firepit for the winter. My firepit was basically brand new. I left it outside all fall, winter, and spring. I just went out the other day to checkout if anything was ruined or rusty now since it was left out all winter, and the cover is in perfect condition and it protected my fire pit perfectly. It covers the whole thing except the feet, but thankfully the weather didn't harm it and my firepit still looks good. Two thumbs up.

Good quality cover
