De 1184 Tri-Poxy tankspuit van Chapin is ontworpen voor gazon-, huis- en tuintoepassingen. De chemicaliënbestendige afdichtingen maken het compatibel met sterkere meststoffen, onkruidverdelgers en pesticiden. De 1-gallon Tri-Poxy gevoerde stalen spuittank biedt drievoudige bescherming tegen roest, corrosie en schade door deuken. Strong simple latch

Preforms great for the cost, welded onto a trailer rail for the ramp and extremely simple to open/close. will be buying more in the future

Works great. Fit perfectly on end of 2x2 square tube (with nice edge to mig weld)

I made some swing doors (for a "dump bed" contraption in the bed of my RTV900). I hauled 50 yards of mulch with the contraption last week (1.5 yards at a time--1000 lbs?). This latch would have held much better than what I had (that latch failed). I got this and in 10 minutes (obviously) welded it right on top of a 2x2 as shown. I think it's a 3/4 nut I welded to the other door. It keeps the doors from opening. I can adjust or add another if they pop open during the next job. I left big gaps in everything to keep mulch from getting trapped. If the travel in the pin was another 1/4 or 1/2 that would be great for my application.

Heavy Duty!! Great pricing!!!

I put this on my 6x14 trailer gate and it works awesome! Very heavy duty latch!! Makes locking my gate quick and efficient! No more lost pins!! I will purchase this again when I build another trailer.

Quality control

Product is definitely heavy duty weld on , the components are thick ( unpainted) steel . So some minimum surface rust/ corrosion is expected. My issue is with the quality control. I ordered 2 total . 1 came with the stamped opening to lock the pin in the back position on the same side. I have not tried to contact the seller, i tossed the shipping package. And Put the part up for later use in the bags they came in. After opening I found the defective stamped part. Quality control All in all . Pro’s =. Heavy construction, strong spring, handle is soiled. Con’s = quality control . 2&1/2 stars ( 50% of the order was defective).

Recieved two different parts with the same part number.

I ordered a quantity of two of the assembled version. Recieved both in seperate shipments. They were the same brand and had the same part number on the package but the packaging and the parts in each package were not the same. They were close and function the same but there are subtle differences between them. When you are installing multiples of an item on a trailer for a customer they typically want the parts to match and as a professional I would not do a job where they didn't. So I ordered two of the unassembled versions. Exact same thing happened. Same part number but the same variation between the parts. Luckily each of the different parts matched the two different parts from my first order so now I have one set of each version and was able to get the job done with one matching set to use on the next job. After that though I will not be buying this brand again due to the inconsistencies in their product.

heavy duty

First off my trailer has a full tongue to the first axle. I would not add a side gate if the trailer did not have a full tongue. I wanted to make a side load gate for my 12,000 lb 20 foot trailer. It is much easier to load a 2 ton pallet from the side and push two on from the rear. Used the shot one on the front and the longer one near the axle.

Worked great, heavy-duty

I bought 4 of these for a project. One was assembled backwards as can be seen by the retaining notch on the wrong side of spring tension. Also the pin is 16mm not 5/8 " . Had to go back and re-drill my holes larger. They worked great despite these issues and would buy again.

robust but not accurate

First off, this is very heavy duty, and requires some strength to engage. if only it had been thought out better. The only way to weld it on is on the front (pin) end. If you weld it to something from the side you will not be able to operate the handle as it is much bigger than the squares dimensions. The reason for 4 stars is the quality of machining, the roll pin sticks out past the frame and on my unit only one pin makes contact as you can see in the photo. Either the hole was not drilled perpendicular to the shaft or the cast square was uneven
